Great video! What are your thoughts on having a stock Ram 2500 Longhorn (no mods) for daily driving and towing an airstream MAYBE once to twice a year. Have a 1500 Classic right now but I absolutely LOVE how the 2500’s look.

@@JR-gb9ou If you’re only towing once or twice a year, a 1500 should be fine, depending on the size of your Airstream. Keep in mind that diesel engines need to be worked hard and driven for long periods to avoid shortening their lifespan-they’re designed for heavy-duty work. Ideally, I should use a 1500 during the summer, but in the winter, I tow every weekend for snowmobiling. My fully enclosed trailer holds five snowmobiles, and the 2500 handles it effortlessly. I’ve tried towing it with my old Ram Rebel, and it really struggled

All I can think is 1: you paid way too much for a service (I do get it helps with resale value), 2: you're putting way too many miles on an oil change, and 3: you're putting too much faith in the computers oil %. However its your truck, and your money, so you can do whatever you want. If it were mine I'd only ever put 5k on an oil change and delete that hog ASAP. But thats just me :)

Hey thanks for the comment. For the market at the time it seemed “screaming” but looking at the market now definitely paid “over” The manual says 7500 miles for every oil change. Forums have shown 10,000 is plenty if you’re doing regular maintenance and check ups, UNLESS you’re towing super heavy. Plus my dealer recommended 10,000 as well. I could for sure save money on service and plan to do so this year. All dealerships up charge oil changes an absurd amount. Would love to delete but the fines for a deleting a 2018+ diesel truck in Utah aren’t worth it for me. If the truck didn’t come with a warranty then maybe I’d consider it, obviously joking *legal reasons* Once again appreciate the comment! Thanks!
