The new degree sounds amazing, I’m so glad you were able to switch to something you’re excited about! It would be so hard to choose between French and Spanish, they both have such an amazing global presence to study. I agree Spanish is easier though 😂

I know right?!! Spanish is a little easier hahah... but french has always been at the top of my wish list to be able to speak fluently... Maybe it will be easier once I learn it in a classroom environment!

have fun with your language learning! i wish i could take the exams in the languages i’m learning but i’m too nervous and feel i’ll fail even tho i can have conversation with those languages

Oh that’s too bad… I get what you mean though, don’t worry! I don’t know how to take away that anxiety. But take it from me, you absolutely don’t need to take different language exams to prove your ability in that language. I mean, if it’s not for a future job or studies then don’t worry about it! I took those Chinese test for fun actually, I never expected to pass the exams and had fun in the process of preparing. Perhaps you can look at it that way? Although language exams can be too expensive to “just try”, the HSK Chinese exam only costs €25 :) nevertheless, you don’t need to prove yourself!

Best of luck with your new bachelor's degree! Sounds fun to focus on a language like that. Was it not possible to do a master's program in that subject area with a bachelor's in education? I also switched majors after my bachelor's.. I went from Mathematics Education for my bachelor's to Linguistics for my master's haha. I've never regretted the switch!
