It cost 149000 for Retro 163900 for metro Dapper and 16700 for Metro Rebel . Top speed about 120 kmph.(company claim) Pros: 1)Good for short distance Ride 2)Agile to handle, 3)Easy to filter through tight traffic. 4)Good exhaust note. 5)Head turning decals and design. Cons 1) speedo quality is poor and overall quality is average. 2) Heating can be felt on legs,but you won't feel much heat on meteor or new classic 350 3) seat cushion only good on metro varient 4)Fuel efficiency is low 5) performance is average 6) won't feel comfortable for long Rides. Surprised to hear about the heavy clutch, the one on my Classic 350 feels perfect. I like that RE has cut away the bottom section of the frame (not mentioned in the review?) as that addresses the Classic's main issue which is the poor positioning and adjustability of the gearshift lever. Also like the Hunter's gear position indicator, again not present on the Classic but a useful thing.

This machine is mainly aimed at the Indian home market, the average Indian male is around 5 feet 6 inches and they weight under 70 Kg. If you think the Hunter 350 is too small for you just move on to a larger framed machine. In the early 1980's I owned a Laverda 1200 Mirage, the seat height was a lofty 34 inches, the reason it was so tall was the owner of the factory, Massimo Laverda was 6 feet 6 inches which is very tall for an Italian. He had the Laverda triples designed for someone of his own height, Massimo used to test ride the proto type Laverda models around the Dolomite mountains near his factory, he was a keen motorcyclist who happened to own a motorcycle building business.

This bike seems completely pointless. I live in Thailand and have the Bajaj Dominar 400 which is the same price but has the KTM Duke 390 engine which is slightly detuned to 40bhp but is still double that of the Hunter. I also have a 15bhp/125kg Yamaha Aerox 155 sports scooter which has similar performance and comfort to the 180kg Hunter, does 120mpg and costs less than half the price to buy.
@amalkumar27752 жыл бұрын
Bajaj introduced the Dominar to compete with the RE. But now in India, the Dominar 400 and the RE are targeting different types of customers. So both coexist without destroying each other's market.
@sissydreams74942 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the fantastic review! This is a beautiful bike (and RE will sell a slew of them!), but it's way too heavy for the power it delivers. Price will be a major consideration. It can't compete with a Kawasaki z400 in performance, so it will HAVE TO rely on its looks (my guess is that pricing will be comparable).
@markymarknj2 жыл бұрын
As a Meteor owner (the Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Hunter 350 all share the J platform), I rather like the weight. It's heavy enough to feel solidly planted on the road; it feels stable at speed. You also don't get blown over when trucks pass you or a gust of wind hits you. That said, the weight is down low, so it doesn't feel that heavy underway.
@sissydreams74942 жыл бұрын
@@markymarknj Thanks for the feedback. When the Hunter is available in the US, I'm definitely going to check it out!

This will be nowhere near the price of the Z400. In India this is 75% the price of the Classic 350, which goes for about £4.4k, so this could be £3.5k or hopefully even less.
@agnijitdeb1558 Жыл бұрын
@@markymarknj Yes. The weight in a relatively low power bike will atleast keep it planted in wind and rain. The feeling of cruising while staying planted is kinda less frightening/more confident. I rode a 150cc Bajaj Pulsar that weighed around 150kgs but the front tyre swayed in cross winds on bridges. Have the Hunter now. I hope this will not sway that easily. Have ridden the RE Thunderbird 350 before. It was very planted in many situations. Felt like it was on rails.
