Royal Enfield have been on such a roll in the last 5 years. At some point you'd have to think the bubble will burst, but I'm happy to say it won't be anytime soon because with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 they have another massive hit on their hands.

@@Plough78 it’s all about character ! All the Enfield’s have it in bucket loads. I had a new Yamaha MT07 in 2018, pretty quick, sounded awesome with the Yoshimura pipe I put on, but it had no soul, so I sold it. I have been riding over 44 years, had all manner of bikes (about 46 so far), and never kept the same bike more than about 12 months. I bought my Interceptor 650 in May 2020, and I still have her, and can’t see myself selling her. Ok, she’s not as fast as the competition (fast enough though), basic components compared to the competition, and won’t hold it’s value like some of the competition, but it’s the basic ingredients which makes the bike so good. No fancy gadgets, just pure character and soul. The 350’s have soul built into them too. My Classic 350, just looks gorgeous, and yes it’s slow, but will reach every speed limit here in the uk. Riding a bike is more than just about performance, it’s about the feeling, hitting that sweet spot whereby you and the bike are in perfect harmony………..I can’t think how better to put it, so can only suggest popping over and seeing what I mean 😉😂

I bought one. Just turned 60. My "returning rider bike". A present to myself. Dapper Grey. (Which is glossy, by the way). I love it, Great little commuter/city bike. Wont get me into trouble with speeding fines, fun in the twisties. Not great on the freeway, but that's not what its meant for. My only complaint is the rear suspension is a bit shit. Over damped or something. A little harsh on our crappy roads here in Adelaide. But Royal Enfields aren't known for their suspension and easily upgraded. Already thinking of turning it into a scrambler. Cheers.
@BikerTorque

Send some photos if you do turn it into a Scrambler. Didn’t realise that the Dapper Grey was glossy, nice, I hypothetically might not need to get a custom paint job done after all 😂😂😂. Great bike to get back into riding on, well done and enjoy.

Check your tire pressure, chances are your dealer pumped the rear tire to 36 PSI while 32 is great if you weigh less than 200 lbs. This will make the handling much more comfortable and grippy. I'm 41 and decided on this as my first bike, have 1300km on it already. Love it. It doesn't need changing whatsoever, but personally I decided on a compact crash guard, tachometer, LED headlight and a streamlined tail bag, with maybe a tail tidy and more compact taillight assembly impending (not sure yet).

Great video! I've literally just (today) ordered a Hunter in Rebel Red (shiny) I'm in my mid sixties and this little beauty so reminds me of my old BSA C15 and my schoolmate's Royal Enfield Crusader 250 ....... a fantastic looking bike. I test rode the Classic 350, last week, (no Hunter demo available) to get a feel for the engine and gearbox etc ........ just brilliant!! I didn't expect to be but, I was very impressed with the ride quality and handling too and the brakes are also good enough. Well done Royal Enfield!!

@@BikerTorque Thanks. Yes, 'zippier' and 'sharper' sounds good to me, can't wait to get astride it. A very good assessment. A point you missed: The black finish is really tough and hard wearing (It is on my Meteor). That and the gaiters on the front forks and matt paint finish result in a bike that will be very easy to keep clean and stay looking new.

Suspension is hard. With zero preload the static sag is almost non existent. Not good. I think the spring are too hard on the rear. Rear suspension upgrade is on my wish list. Two up and heavier riders may not have an issue. Touring mirrors although smaller are much better over stock. I did add extenders big improvement Ebay genuine parts from India is your friend. The seat is ok for short commute but could be better. It’s on my list of mods. Stock rubber ok in the dry but not Michelin Road5 silica in the wet. Yes I upgraded rubber on a new bike. Fuel mapping is good but probably for emission it’s tuned lean. I wish the rev limiter kicked in a couple hundred rpm later. Gear shifter I tried a rose joint to take out the slop but it hits on outside when changing down. Needs a grinder to test further. Brakes adequate the front lever kind of has some fake resistance before pads set I think is for new riders to reduce grabbing the front but makes light trail braking harder to feel. Not a problem just kinda weird. Gearing 5th is over drive unless your going down hill 4th same top speed. To rev limiter after break in 1st 40km 2nd 75/80km, 3rd almost 100. Three speed in the city. Paint ok. Pin striping surely they could pay a few rupee more and give the kid on the assembly line a minute to apply it straight.

I see the air filter cover and electrics cover say HUNTER and not HNTR like the United Kingdom. Must be something to do with copyright.? Yes, a superb motorcycle which is very forgiving in its gear ranges. It has as much speed that I will require and rides happily from 25MPH upwards in 5th but the 4th gear, that's the magical gear that offers the biggest torque range. It emits a lovely powerful thud-thud-thud that turns most heads. The road holding is excellent because of the low C of G along with very good braking. For the money it is hard to beat. Fuel economy keeping it in ECO Gear is 100+ mpg. The only bad point is the rear suspension could do to be a bit softer and then I would give it 10/10 for a cheapo motorcycle.

I have few hundred miles on my Hunter here in sunny Indonesia. Few observations from an older rider. Rear shock springs are too stiff, there is almost no static sag and very little rider sag at my 175 lbs. The front is sprung much better (softer) which makes for an un balanced suspension. The rear end is simply not compliant, this is the biggest issue with the bike. I have big hands and find the leavers at the far end of comfortable reach, with the clutch lever adjusted with some extra free play, the clutch is spot on. I wonder how you find the levers in terms of distance from the bars? I would assume, riders with smaller hands would start feeling that the levers are too far. Clutch is nice and smooth with good feeling pull. The engagement point is however on a short/little clutch lever movement side. I wish that the the cam on the clutch was not as aggressive. If I just ride without looking at the speedo, it seems I always end up around 50 mph, the bike is super happy and relaxed. The shock will have to be upgraded, the rest are just few personal observation. It is a great "big" bike, here in Indonesia we ride 150cc mostly.
