It basically has the same internals as the old stradic before the vanford except for the roller bearing. I expect the spool would interchangeable with the old stradic as well. Thank you for the tear down.

No. The Stradic has a worm drive oscillator. These are a Ci4 version of the Nasci. I have 3 Miravels. I rate them highly as you get the right features with a simpler construct for about half the cost of a Vanford. My wife uses the FB series Nasci and my brother the FC Nasci. All good reels but these later ones are much better due to the screw in handle and the bushing for the oscillator gear. Great video and to the point.

The miravel body is made from shimano ci4 material making it a light weight reel. The nasci is metal. It all comes down to your choice. Personally I love the miravel but you can't go wrong with either one. Please don't forget to smash that subscribe button.

No flex especially in the miravel.

Nasci I have caught many 20 to 40 lb tarpon. The miravel is a one fish wonder. The spool shaft is to small of diameter or to soft of ss steel . Spool shaft bent on 1st tarpon and now sits at a angle on the reel. Stacks line at angle not useable. Line is not tapered like you would fix with shims . I don't recommend the miravel but highly recommend the nasci . This was the Miravel c5000xg.

Been using a nasci with the same line roller bushing and it is better than those with bearing... Just make sure you always put oil right after usage

The miravel and nasci is better than the Sahara. If you're choosing between the miravel and nasci it all comes down to The type of fishing you're doing.

i have both. 🙂 just bought it last January. I can say they're both very smooth. If you prefer looks, go for nasci because it is a very good looking reel but if you want a light reel go for Miravel. Both reel are strong and smooth, Miravel is just lighter that's why I got Miravel 5000 series coz its only 265g. I have Nasci 2500 and it is 240g

@sambolivar29 Ultegra is the superior reel. The only thing Miravel has going for it is the magnum light rotor. Ultegra has a proper oscillation worm for superior line lay and a line roller bearing to name a couple of improvements. For me Vanford hits the right mark for price vs performance and Vanquish is king of finesse ultralight reels

In all honesty the rotor doesn't feel anything like the MGL rotor shimano said it is. I have another video where I compare this reel to the vanford you should check it out.

It's made of the same material the vanford is made of. Some people call it plastic and some call it carbon composite. What I can tell you though is that is rigid and will get the job done.

i got a 2500 miravel from bass pro 2 weeks ago . it is not a smooth reel , it drags slightly when reeling in line . it is not as smooth as my diawa BG or my RG2500hAB or even my kastking sharky 3 . i'm very disappointed in this shimano miravel and it is going back to bass pro for a refund .
