Suggest that Engine-Brite engine cleaner. Used it for over 40 years with excellent results. Since you are into spending $$$, you might want to think about one of those heated pressure washers. My son has one and he thinks it's the cat's meow. Looks like those John Deere's are your new hobby. Hobbies are great Steve. You should name them after each day of the week. Almost like cleaning the soot out of a boiler heat exchanger. I had a Freightliner truck that had a bad fuel cut off solenoid and was hard to start. Some fix it videos will be cool.

Before moving from buffalo, my neighbor had a 318. Pristine condition, repainted with old JD green and yellow every year. Never had any issues with it! I put that through everything I could! Hauling, shoveling with it, plowing, tilling. It just would do it with no trouble! The new tractors are garbage! (new JD green and yellow are brighter)

Nice collection Steve. A wee blast of Cosby sauce will help that one start till you get the glow plugs sorted, certainly save your starter motor. Indirect diesels are a bastard to start without them even in summer. Enjoy.

With that rear PTO i always thought it'd be cool to put your snow blower on the back and your plow on the front. That thing would be unstoppable. All your weight would be where ya need it. Pile, plow or blow, ol Bambi could do it all.

My Dad sold a garden tractor to a friend of mine, whom lived in the country. I driving the garden tractor and it all sudden stopped. So, they had taken the transmission apart and it wasn't the transmission. MY Dad told the guy, he shouldn't have let me drive it. It ended up being one the keys in one of the wheels was sheared. Craftsman used keys in the wheels to lock the wheels to the axle.

I traded all the little JD’ I had 2 years ago and got a new John Deere 1025R with the backhoe and front loader and the belly mower. It has EVERYTHING!!! a little costly, but I move a little dirt around as well as snow, so it was well worth it.. take a look at them on YouTub’ there amazing

Have you ever changed the water pump in a 430 garden tractor? Can it be done without pulling the motor? I also need a water pump part number for a 1984 vintage 430. I had a parts manual but I can't find it. :-(
