@Caco Great video as always. I got my 2023 RAV4 last May 13, 2023, after a long wait. It’s fun to drive although I have a few observations, which I would like to get your opinion on: 1. I'm at 926km to date. Is it normal that my hybrid battery is not charging fully or at least halfway, it is usually in the 2nd or 3rd block only. 2. My fuel consumption is high, not what I expected from a Toyota hybrid. I am averaging 12km/ltr mixed city and highway. My expectation (before I purchased this vehicle), it should be near the 18km/ltr mark. Will this still improve in the long run? My daily travel is 70km except weekends.

Yup. They always find a way to shortchange you. Look at the interior of the Hilux and its tech features. You're getting way less for its price. That's why I have strong reservations in buying a Toyota and instead opted to buy a Mazda.

Even with the base variant its still expensive (for me). If I want a Hybrid system, and a Toyota, with that kind of money, I'd go with the Toyota Corolla Cross. That comes in at just 1.8m (that's already the GR-S variant). I now have at least 300k to spare that I can use for upgrades

Cleaning the air filter of hybrid is the only maintenance. It's almost maintenance free. If the battery died you can still use the car.

I own the 2020 Rav4 XLE Hybrid and I can tell you if you use ECO mode + dynamic cruise ON or light use of your right foot will give you 21.7 km/L or higher as it will barely use the gas engine going forward plus the stop and go traffic keeps the battery recharged.

If you are not a fan of sunroof I think the corolla cross hybrid is a much better choice. The price difference didn't justified the interior upgrades and additional tech features. And the infotainment system of this rav4? Unbelievable for it's price range.

I thought, it should be AWD not front wheel drive due to 2 motors for hybrid. One is in front and the other is in the back. I own one. Kindly check on that or the info I got might be wrong. Also, its not leather seats as you mentioned. They are called softex seats. Looks like leather but synthetic. Camry use real leathers, dont know why.

Toyota PH is selling this just for the sake of having a compact contender. But it seems that they don't push this much as they don't want to hurt the sales of the more popular Fortuner. Even Suzuki's version of the RAV4, the Across, is better equipped.

He is a little confused about how it operates. The hybrid electric motor is not what is keeping the car cool. The air conditioner compressor is run by its own electric motor. Also, the service brakes are not involved at all in electric regeneration. They are used when regeneration is not sufficient to slow or stop the car
