at 8:10, its impossible to get this screw in with the grummet. without grummet, no problem. my installation guide says it should be used, but it was also only shipped with 1 grummet, which is used on the other side. so i assume, this is just not used anymore.

You might be right. They sometimes change these types of things and don’t go through the effort of updating the instructions

Many thanks for this video! Helped me a lot, although I‘ve had the struggle with the „missing“ grummet on the right side (also works without it). Always drive safely 🏍️💨😊

I just received these but was expecting them to be aluminum, but they're plastic. I went back and checked what the product description is and it does say they're aluminum. A bit of false advertising because only the end plate is aluminum which doesn't actually serve any protective purpose.

I know this is an Old video but thinking to get these or the GPRacing, but man I haven't seen these in person, but the Black part of those look like Plastic and only the Silver is metal. Please tell me I'm wrong?

1min into the video & I've just heard you mentioned the EXACT same missing part I was missing too. They had me waiting waiting more than a month. Yamaha still hasn't resolved the issue in the stock list.
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel2 жыл бұрын
Reading the comments, it looks like most people have had the exact same problem as well… I’m not entirely sure what’s happening on Yamaha’s end, but my thought is that, they intended (or are intending) on removing the grommet entirely from the right-side assembly, but haven’t corrected the instruction manual and parts list. All I can say is that once I did get the grommet in, it seemed like it got in the way more than anything, and it was a pain in the butt trying to fully install the right-side guard. Almost seemed like it was out of place once it was in. Up to you, but if you want, you should be able to complete the install without it 🤷🏻♂️

Hello, how is the rubber holding on the left side ? the gearbox is very hot all the time
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Жыл бұрын
Haven’t had any problem with the rubber on there. No different than rubber push nuts / grommets you’d find on sport bike fairings.

my dealer ask me not to install the bar type frame slider to prevent motobike flip over twice in accident, do you think it make sense?
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Жыл бұрын
Yeah it makes sense. The peg style frame sliders are mostly designed for slow speed tip overs. Your best bet is crash bars / stunt cage, or if you want something more subtle, try engine case covers like the ones in the video.

Thanks for replying , I would install engine guard first

Fantastic and clean video. I like the look too but man…. it’s as if Yamaha went out of their way too make as many pieces as possible. Sheesh. Seems like a lot of that could have come preassembled and ready to rock. Anyway, great job with the vid.
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Yeah, I definitely agree! Yamaha could’ve at least added a wind screen at the bare minimum. Guess they figure that most people are going to change those things out anyways… I’m super happy with the finished look though!
@ar20432 жыл бұрын
You may have misunderstood my comment. I meant the engine or case savers themselves. Just the engine guards. It seems like a lot of that could’ve been pre-assembled in the box for you. Seems like a lot of pieces that they could’ve put together first and then boxed it up. That’s all.
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel2 жыл бұрын
@@ar2043 Hahaha, yes I did! Thought you were talking about the bike itself 😅 Totally agree, and I still stand by Yamaha should’ve installed a factory windscreen lol!
@ar20432 жыл бұрын
Lol. And you are absolutely correct. I realize that the MT 09 is one of the absolute best bang for the buck bikes out there, but yeah… They could've stuck a little sports screen on there at least. When I had my 2016 Fz 09, the first thing I did was buy the Yamaha OEM comfort saddle. Have you ever seen one or sat on one? Absolute night and day difference. One of the single best changes I've ever made to any motorsports product in my life. 👍

Guys, should i worry about removing those factory installed engine bolts?
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Жыл бұрын
Not at all. Those bolts are meant to come out whenever you do work inside the engine casing. As long as you install the engine guards correctly and use the proper torque settings, you will not damage the bike at all.

@@FullThrottleFreedomChannelThanks man great instructional video now I'm relieved and can install the long awaited kit.😊

I need the manual can you send it to me
@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Жыл бұрын
The owner’s manual for the 2021-2023 MT-09 can be found online through Yamaha and the procedure in this video follows the instruction manual for the engine guard install step by step. The service manual you will have to buy from Yamaha directly, because by law, I cannot distribute it.

Had the same if issue with the grommet and delayed everything 3 weeks. Then I ground down the flange collar so the bolt would reach the well nut. QC needs some improvement from Yamaha.

Just went to install my set and had the same missing grommet, found your video, thanks for sharing it's a common thing. Ordered another, annoying.
