Such an astounding journey for First Nation, for the artistic creation, for each of the men and women on that mountainside, for me watching this powerful and gentle episode. And for Crazy Horse, himself... because he is still touching the lives and hearts of his people, and everyone who looks upon this process.

At the time construction started in 1948, the artist estimated the work would be complete in 30 years. As of 2022, there was no timeline for when the monument would be completed; however, the hand, arm, shoulder, hairline, and top of the horse's head were estimated to be finished by 2037.

I believe you will see it finished. We went in 2019 and I can't believe how much it has changed since then.

You're never going to get this done with 14 people you really need to have about 100 people up there working
