Damn, Fulwiley (sp?) walked like a mug after she got the rebound. So many things went wrong/crazy in those last few seconds of the game. Missing two free throws is crazy though. Then the travel that wasn’t call. Then the bad defensive strategy. Only a three can beat you. Even if the defender comes out to the perimeter to guard Kamilla, what’s the worst she can do in 1.1 seconds? But you leave her wide open with the defender in the key…for what?! @spurman2010 ай бұрын
Because they had fouls to give. Disrupt any fast paced push that may result in a shot attempt where they could be caught out of position, all without having to send us to the line to shoot free throws. Tenn played that situation correctly for the most part. It’s a solid plan when you have fouls to give until something crazy like this happens 😂 GO COCKS

@jayervin618110 ай бұрын

@GodLovesComics10 ай бұрын
Totally disagree. She out-coached Dawn Staley and Rickea jackson was by far the best player on the court. I don't care who is the coach, if you have a team's lumbering Center catching and shooting outside the three point line, that's exactly what you want. Especially a player who hadn't made one all year. That's called sheer, dumb luck. SC will lose by 20 to LSU if they play like this.
@disheemthomas455310 ай бұрын
@@GodLovesComicsLike they said, it was stupid 2 foul a player from that distance w little time left when SC had O TOs 2 advance the ball. Make her take the shot. Then there's no reason 2 guard a player inbounding from behind half court. You guard 5 vs 4 & attempt 2 force an errant pass or TO. That's what you want. SC beat Tenn in every category except FT & 3 pt stats. Tenn had 1 more defensive reb off of 14 more shot attempts from SC. The stats plus Tenn having the best performer "by far" & the end result does not support the out coaching claim 2 me, but maybe.
@matthewlear451810 ай бұрын
Absolutely and they didn't guard her either she made them look like idiots with 1.1 seconds to go
@GodLovesComics10 ай бұрын
@@disheemthomas4553 I think that's reasonable but also arguable. If you have fouls to give and don't use them and USC hits the shot people would go insane as to why they never fouled. Fulwiley is the fastest player on the court and if she is not fouled I think he has a running shot just beyond the 3-point line and she's a helluvalot more likely to hit that shot that Cardoza is from three. And I think given how wildly disjointed USC looked on offense in the second half that Staley should have played Fulwiley much more and probably Kitts as well because they were getting nothing from Pao Pao (1-8 for 3 points) and Bre Hall (6-points) while Kitts was 4-6 in just 17-minutes and Fulwiley had 13 points in just 13 minutes. I know it's a Sophomore and a Freshman, but both looked more composed than some of the vets that were throwing up bricks and making terrible passes. Granted hindsight is 20/20 and they won a game that really they could have lost and it wouldn't have mattered. But the way they've looked down the stretch, doesn't bode well for the tournament. Unless they really clean it up.
