Just bought the Integra with the 6 speed manual. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this machine! The cornering is tight when I tackle them at a high speed like it's on rails! The gearbox is the best in the business and it shows. Very forgiving and buttery smooth throws. ELS sound system is one of the best I've had in a car. Sportback hatch makes the Integra functional, especially when I need to transport my road bike to a ride or a crit. Could be faster than 200hp but for my needs and the gas prices these days, the engine sips fuel and has more than adequate torque and fun factor that goes along with it. People often draw comparisons to the GTI but VW reliability has a checkered history. I had a 2012 Acura TL 6 speed for 5 years and had no major repairs or issues. Same with the Infiniti. Audi... I had major engine issues. I would choose Japanese any day over VW/Audi (or German for that matter) for reliability alone.

I'm very curious about the quality of the ELS in the Integra. I own a 2019 TLX A-Spec, so it's the prior generation and I have only become more disenchanted with the stereo. Bass is quite lacking. You can get a little bit of bass response on certain tracks when you're listening with the engine off or at idle but as soon as you get going, the bass is lost. Boosting the bass and sub levels doesn't improve the sound much and will cause rattles or distortion in the rear deck lid. High and midrange frequencies tend to be a mess too. Some tracks sound "okay" others sound shouty. The overall sound lacks richness. I know a stereo isn't the only reason to buy a car but when we're talking about luxury daily driver cars like the TLX and new Integra, the stereo should sound good. Especially when it's touted as being a premium audio system. I'm curious how the ELS system sounds in the Acura MDX Type S, since their are more speakers in the MDX Type S than there are in other MDX trim levels. I wonder if the new flagship Acura in the highest trim level has a much better sound system that other Acura's or at least much better than the system in my TLX.
