From an owner of a Civic Si and a 6-Speed Integra A-Spec w/Technology… 50+ Integra upgrades and differences from US Civic (2024) I traded my Civic Si (2020) for a 2024 6-speed Integra. Below are the differences between the 2024 Integra 6-speed and the 2024 Civic Si that helped sway my decision. As you can see below, there are way more differences (at least 50) than are spoken of in any KZbin videos. Hope this helps those of you trying figure out the differences. BTW, as a former Si driver, I have ZERO regrets. The Integra retains the fun-factor of my Si, but also gives me all the premium upgrades I was missing-such a great real-world daily driver. My Si was a great car, but I’m enjoying the Integra more. Features not available on ANY ‘24 Civic: 1. Dual zone auto climate control 6. Liftback design w/ more cargo space 7. Full 10.2” digital instrument cluster 8. Leather door trim 9. Rear USB outlets 10. Fog lights 11. Blinker in side mirrors 12. Heated seats 13. Qi Wireless phone charging mat 14. Alexa built-in 15. Sunglasses holder 16. Different tuning (according to Acura) UPDATE: Things I’ve learned after putting 3,000+ miles on the Integra: - The Integra is missing the occasional dash rattles that my Civic Si had. It may have better fitment, adhesives, or quality control. At any rate, I’m very impressed, because that was a concern of mine during the buying process. - In sport mode and on the same roads, my Integra feels as peppy as my Si, but like the Si, the Integra isn’t built for all out performance. - For the first 3,000 miles I have averaged over 35 mpg on premium. I have mixed city and highway on my commute. I occasionally open it up for a pull, but drive conservatively most of the time. On the interstate I’ve averaged over 40 mpg. Thrash it a lot and you’ll likely STILL get high 20’s. - I knew the ELS Studio 3D system was highly rated. But even so, I am floored every single day when I hear nuances in my favorite playlists and songs that I never noticed before because the previous systems just couldn’t do it. I had upgraded my Si with JL Audio mid-range and both Infinity and Kicker subs-the Si sounded way better than stock. However, this ELS system is not only in a different ballpark, it’s on a different planet. I read from a car reviewer that outside of Acura you can’t get this level of sound unless you fork out $60,000 or more. That, I can’t confirm. However, I can easily say it’s the best I’ve ever heard-and I’ve been in many cars. The Bose I had in my GMC Yukon pales in comparison. - So far, the only thing I miss from my Si since buying the Integra is the center console. The Integra’s armrest storage bin is a bit smaller. 5k miles now and still VERY happy. The Integra hit the sweet spot for me for affordable luxury and fun.

@organizedgopher4 ай бұрын
@@jeretsoit does for sure. For instance, there is a big difference in the cover for the undercarriage alone vs a Civic. The material of the Integra undercarriage cover is textured (fuzzy) vs smooth plastic to absorb more road sound/vibration. They don’t even really advertise it, but if you’ve owned and driven a late model Si for years as I have, the difference in premium feel is noticeable. No. It’s certainly not a Rolls Royce, but on the road I do notice the difference in quality of ride between my Si and the Integra (regardless of damper settings).

I find the Integra to look better on the outside but I wish they changed up the interior more. Sort of like how the ILX was based on the civic platform but most people wouldn't tell it was based off of a civic because of the exterior and interior. I honestly have no issue with the Integra being based off of the Honda Civic, just wish it was differentiated a bit more, like carrying over the DCT from the ILX or a beefier base engine than the Civic. I just used the build and price feature to compare the Civic Si with the Integra A-spec manual, and there was about a $7,000 difference in MSRP. While I like the Integra more, the difference in price (at least between two models with the same powertrains and transmissions) is too great for me. I'd go Civic Si.
@MurderMostFowl4 ай бұрын
The only problem with the Integra is that they basically just gave the Si a cooler looking body and some fake leather. There may be some other build quality improvements, but from an entry-level luxury perspective, they really seem to drop the ball. In one way you could claim that the hybrid and the SI is very nice for its segment, but the step up from an Integra to the TLX is very significant when just looking at it from a luxury perspective. From a reliability perspective, I would’ve much rather seen a NA 2.0 L with 6MT or traditional automatic instead of CVT, but Honda won’t do this because they don’t want to take away from the type-S

@@Cinnamon535 The hybrid system in the new Civic is a more reliable powertrain than the 1.5L turbo engine in the Integra. It uses Honda's most reliable engine, the 2.0L naturally aspirated Atkinson-cycle engine, and it's a direct-drive system so it doesn't even have a transmission. Just because it's a hybrid doesn't mean it'll break down any faster than the Integra. And because it's such a simple system, it's not going to be more expensive to repair than the Integra's system.

I daily an B9.5 2024 Audi A4 Allroad which /technically/ competes with this, at least the sedan version does size wise, or even more the A5 Sportback since that is technically what the Teggy is; mine is an wagon, but man it is so much better luxury, performance, tech & quality wise. The Allroad is technically their offroad Avant, but it's sporty asf, has the 45TFSI engine rated 261hp 273lbs torque or something like that but that's Audi rating it at the wheels. 0-60 for a 3880lb wagon is 5s, car & driver got 4.8s, the adaptive suspension in dynamic mode makes the wagon handle like a sports sedan, & overall besides being on sale for a long time (last refresh was 2022, although for 2024 the Prestige made basically everything standard which is what I have) & while it's MSRP is more, dealers are charging the same $60k for these Teggys that the Allroads cost. Idk, I believe Honda kinda fumbled these in a few areas, there's some things like the LSD that are cool, but man.. these things are overpriced & idk why anyone would buy any other option than the TypeS & even then I'd personally wanna pay $45k tops. I get that the Teggy was the same hp as tbe Civic/ Preludes back in the day but that was 25 years ago, they really need to pump up their performance numbers for the modern class, & that's really including the TypeS imo 🤷🏻♂️

No XM radio, spare tire, rear vents or mirror turn signals. Loud interior, whiny CVT and needs premium gas. Why would anyone buy this?

Better quality interior for sure and actually came with real leather seats not fake. Plus the so called alcantera on a spec trim is different than Tyoe S integra seat material Type s is slight better

Why bother with this when the Camry and Sonata exist for the same price, with a hybrid system, and arguably nicer interiors and features. What a POS rebadged Civic.

They have keep it affordable, after all that’s what they were aiming with the Integra.

I like the idea of the integra Aspec/ with 6 speed, but the base model literally makes no sense. Civic hybrid is by far the most logical choice in comparison, especially if you get the hatch. The integra base offers virtually nothing to make it luxurious compared to the civic hybrid Sport touring model, especially if you consider that hatch. I would actually say it’s worse, as it has a smaller screen, no parking sensors, no wireless charging and a sound system that’s worse than the civic. Frankly, the Mazda 3 is equally as, if not more, luxurious in most respects. The car makes no sense right now. The base model should be cut, the a spec tech should be the standard model offered at a lower cost ($34/35k) and the manual should be offered as standard. With the new 2025 Si, GLI/GTI, updated Elantra N, etc, the price for what the car offers makes truly no sense. And it’s a bummer cause I really like it, but not for $38k.

type s or top line civic sport. there is absolutely never a good reason to get low trim luxury badges, youre just setting yourself up. no resale, lower usage appreciation, bad investment. spend on the better daily trim or go all the way on the type r or s a spec is a waste of money.
