Yea. The only thing that I can say about this figurine, which is a bit funny, is how it looks when viewed directly from the front .... For me , that face is just hella funny for some reason...can't say exactly why tho.😅

@@Mefilas._intrepidus7 The BotM is superior accuracy wise as the PNSO should have a proportionally larger head than it does and it’s too shaggy considering the fossil record. Plus it doesn’t have lips. So the BotM ranks higher in accuracy, the Safari does as well. The PNSO is still a nice figure and looks beautiful.

Dude, this is the most amazing figure that ive seen. A medium tyrannosaur, nice articulation and paint. I preordered this since september. Cant wait to get this as it is coming in early march or late february

As much as I love my tyrannosaurus (and I really do adore it) I’m actually more excited to start getting some small to medium size theropods that aren’t raptors. It’s something we don’t really see much of in figures (outside of Mattel’s Jurassic World line)

My biggest problem with the Beasts of the Mesozoic stuff is the paint jobs. They just don't strike me as being natural looking. I know--many paleontologists think that maybe dinosaurs had bird-like patterns--but not every darn bird is as striking to look at as a bird of paradise or other exotic jungle bird. The paint on the Beasts stuff just seems to be too extreme looking, and just not all that credible to me. There's just no subtlety in any colors they present--just a lot of stencil-looking patterns that break up the sculpting shape. The paint has kept me from buying many of their products. I did get the 1:18 Tyrannosaurus via their kickstart, and I didn't mind the paint there, but I think they did a much better job with the raptors line than with the Tyrannosaurs or Ceratopsians. The sculpts are absolutely fantastic, and I appreciate the articulation, but the paint is just not my favorite. It's fine if your opinion differs. I'm not searching for an argument or even a deep discussion. I just wish that maybe the paint had a bit more restraint, and wasn't quite so harsh and unnatural looking. I am just not on-board with all dinosaurs having bright, brilliant colors--some, sure--but not all species of dinos. That seems very unrealistic.

@@cityraptor5193 I get that, but this is far more busy looking than the Steller Sea Eagle, which doesn't have a lot of little visually distracting islands of white just strewn about on the torso, etc. Seller's Sea Eagle has more solid bands areas of white on the tail, wings, and at the forehead, which are visually interesting, but don't overpower the eyes when you look at the bird. This toy has bits of red and a lot of odd eye distracting areas that draw your attention all over the place. Just doesn't rinse for me. Clearly they're drawing upon real species of animals, and not all are extremely flashy birds, but I'm speaking as a consumer that this doesn't cut it for me. I hate that it doesn't, but it doesn't. Like I said, I supported "Beasts" on their kickstarter, but I prefer to see a little more restraint where paint is concerned. Again, not looking for debate, and your mileage is sure to vary. If you love it, that's cool. I just find it to be a little overboard. If I owned this figure, I'd repaint it for sure.

I ordered the yutyrannus and dryptosaurus back in August off of big bad toy store for pre-order it said it would come in March but haven't heard anything else, hopefully it comes. The only reason I'm worried is because we have been having alot of issues with pre-orders.

I kinda wish the Tyrannosaur figures had joints on their toes and a hinge-swivel joint for the foot, that way there wouldn't be any alternate feet you have to swap out depending on what pose you want to put the figure in. That's just me, though. Despite this gripe, I still really want these figures.

That would definitely be cool but I feel like that would be potentially a problem when it comes to balancing the figure out without a base. The fact that the toes would articulate could potentially cause the feet and legs to crumble. I could be completely wrong though because I have had the Artic figures Spinosaurus figure standing on their own and they have articulated toes.

@@andysdinosaurreviews I'm thinking horizontal hinge joints at the base of the toes to make them splay and close, then a vertical hinge joint at the mid-point of each toe to make them bend up and down. The joints would be small, but the 1/18 scale versions of their 1/6 scale figures shows they can make small joints tight and sturdy.

If Pachyrhinosaurus is my favorite ceratopsian over all from that series ( and in general ) , then , Yuty is my favorite from the Trex series hands down ! ( and , againe, in general ). Those 2 are quite the unique members of their own families and I love them !!! The perfect articulated figure of a Yuty , no questions ask.

Can you do more size comparisons with botm ceratopsians since I can’t get ahold of the trex I only have the ceratopsians. Massive fan btw I can’t get ahold of any tyrannosaur figures so I like to watch the reviews, my dad was a palaeontologist and ever since he passed away I’ve been getting into it so I can teach my future kids about it.

One of the Feathered Tyrannosaurs from Beasts of the Mesozoic is here. Like some of other figures of BOTM You reviewed previously, “While some of the others 1:19 like the Crowned Dragon “Guanlong” & The Emperor Dragon “Dilong” on the back have yet to be reviewed.” I’m having a little time saving enough money for those figures. Unless I’ll have to sell away paperback books that I have no use for anymore. “I like Hardcover & Library Binding Books better.” I also hope I can make money on one of the VHSES I have no use for anymore because I moved on to DVDS.

Yutyrannus huali from Beasts of the Mesozoic look Dino-fantastic! Sea eagle 🦅 colouration is very pop on Yutyrannus huali, i love it 😁. This one was the most beautiful tyrannosaur figure that i ever seen! Yutyrannus huali was one of the my most favorite Dinosaur because Yutyrannus huali was the largest feathered Dinosaur that ever discovered in history 🤩! Great video Andy, i love it 😊.

I wish this was a static Figure. I love it. But not articulated. :( But it works better for me, than nonfeathered Dinosaurs. I love my BOTM Raptors, but man. I am not made for these articulated Figures.

I've generally thought that abt Yutyrannus in general. Allosaur like features: Crests, 3 fingers, general head shape. Tyrannosaur features: Tooth shape, crest on the center of the snout/head, and a few other traits that place it in that family
