With the new changes (turn lights on handlebar, fragile plastic luggage holder/system, mirrors with electric components, electric windshield, on road tires, radar system front & back) Looks now like a on-road only touring bike. One crash on offroad and you have to pay thousands of euro to fix it. BMW knows their customers very well. They are using their boxer GS at 99% on the road.

@@zsguerreiro The suspension and handling might be better now for offroad, but the rest on the bike is now too fragile for off-road. To be fair, modern ADV bikes are touring bikes, with off-road capability. The SUVs of the motorbike world.

Agree. With such horrible looks, a lot of people that were waiting and saving for this, will just grab an R1250GS. Also in one review the guy was telling that it is no longer at the same segment of the previous GS. He said that it no longer feels big enough for comfortable touring and just feels more like a supermotard bike.

Love the new Triple Black, had three GSs but got bored of the height and weight so now ride a lovely V2S Multistrada, they are here in the UK at the end of the month👍.

I also think this is the first non-factory closeup of the new model. Well done! I was used to the sort of Swiss Army knife look of the previous models, but I like the new design. It seems sleeker and more compact (and makes me think it was partly designed to go after Multistrada sales). The Tramuntana and Option 719 package looks very nice, as does the trusted standard, the Triple Black. I can’t wait to see the new models in person at my local dealer.

It looks much smaller/compact/sleeker than the 1150 I had. I did not like the 1150 and sold it after 1 year. I'm looking forward to testing this bike and I'm sure I'll buy it. So happy the GS has many changes away from the older style.

A minor observation......he keeps saying the new GS 13,000, but I think he means to say 1300; BMW is a few years away from making a 13,000cc bike, right? But this machine makes me want to sell my ride to upgrade to this BEAST!!! Super amazing transformation BMW!!! Cannot entirely grasp all of the changes made to an already fab bike. Looks so lean and mean....wow!!.

The turnlights in the handle guards has a very good visibility! They should not be that easy to destroy since the Tramuntana is a street model with features for long distance riding if I've not misunderstood it completely 😉

This new bike looks good!! But the front lights doesn't end to like me also I was expecting to finally see a more offroading versión with longer travel suspention and of course with 21" front wheel and 18" rear wheel ! It would be the only thing that could change my mind and buy one of these GSs. So .. My KTM 1290 Super Adventure "R" Will stay in my garage ! Hahaha! Hey buddy!! 😢 God bless you ! Just a 1300 GS? 😂 Another entry level bike. I'd recommend to wait for a 1800 GS 😊. Maybe in 2 years from now (Oct. 2023). If you really intend to go offroad than a 2500 GS definitely would a better option. Because a SUV on 2 wheels impresses all others - in case you have to lift from the ground. Happy unboxing!

Great styling, love the little touches like the handlebar shock-absorber. When they announced they were increasing the capacity yet again I was skeptical - usually that means a heavy bike gets heavier but not in this case. Though that said, I'm more likely to look to the F900GS as it's still 100bhp & loads of torque but not nearly so heavy.

Personally the standard or rally is better looking however I do compare this to the old generation. I never liked the tubular frame, the whole bike looked like a scaffold when it had engine bars and pannier attachments.

I love that they moved the power button to the bars. I love the look of the 24s Don't like the flimsy plastic luggage rack, or the fact the blinkers are imbedded in the hand guards. The first aftermarket upgrades I do have always been REAL handguards and Double Take mirrors. These upgrades will be a bit more costly as front blinkers will have to be added. The surround indicator in the stock mirror will go away so that feature is not so good. That stuff is designed for the people who ride to and from Starbucks. If you use it like I do, getting down in the dirt and travel BDR's then it's useless.
