Indian companies wouldn't be able to do it in the near future. The germans have tried and tested technology and engines. Most of the indian companies are newer and none has a good petrol engine, only mahindra has a good petrol engine. Indian companies does not have much experience in building cars.

It's not the company's fault. Even here if you check the invoice the car's cost is just half and the rest are taxes on the on road price.

@athish47 underestimating anyone is not good. Mahindra can build such cars in 5 years of r &d . But main thing is brand value and sale of the car. Even the altarus was great car and more rich in features than it's competitors but people didn't accept it. Mahindra will never get even half of it's r&d cost if they make a 1 crore car

It is because of the Indian auto manufacturers’ suggestion that the government is imposing such high taxes on these vehicles. They suggest the govt. on how to tax imported cars so that they can sell their inferior products at higher prices. Just imagine XUV 700 top model at ₹ 32 lakhs and BMW X3 ₹ 40 lakhs(USD converted to INR). This is the reality

Government is taking commissions from Indian companies to protect them but in return us customers are affected. Bmw has manufacturing in India. So gov must stop taxing on such companies.

X5m40i any given day over all other brands. I own an X5M40i, bought in 2022, and am considering purchasing the newer facelift version. Given that I have driven the previous generation extensively and will soon have experience with the facelift, I can offer a unique perspective. Although BMW INDIA may come across as arrogant, they manufacture exceptional cars, which ultimately counts.

May 24 is the expiration date of the registration. That is the tag that cops keep track off to make sure the vehicle has not exceeded the registration. If the customer gets a permanent registration such as mostly electric vehicles, a PERM tag would be there instead of the month and year.

Honestly, speaking touchscreen should be limited to multimedia and entertainment function only. All other physical buttons should be made mandatory unless the automobile is completely autonomous machine. I request BMW on behalf of millions to bring back the gear Knob right away.
