I fell in love with that little town you drove through. I had to look-up where it was the moment I found a clue in the footage. Right when I saw "Haunted Hamburger," I looked it up. Good choice picking Jerome Arizona. Reminds me a Bisbee Arizona. Really cute narrow streets, lots of character, and bucket loads of charm.

I dont really get the point of this. It’s been shown to be slower than the X5/X6-M, but costs like $50k more. Maybe it’s slightly more luxurious but I mean come on…

@@SundayVibesmusic watch carwow’s videos, the 0-60 tests beg to differ… 3.4 vs 3.9 seconds. Half a second difference. Red label might be faster but isnt out yet so hasnt been tested

@@jakes5530 honestly I wouldn’t base my opinion on his KZbin video yet. Also you mentioned X6 M but in the video he’s driving a Competition package. Of course that will be a lot faster..it’s nearly 1000+ lbs lighter too. And the difference in price is more like 30k not 50 depending on the type of XM he’s driving. Not sure if he added the M drivers package to his XM. As someone who is a part of the quality team for both of these vehicles I can assure you it’ll be faster than a X5 and X6 M. I’m interested to see the new Competition versions race the XM..that would be nice..the X6 Competition is a monster though. When it comes to the red label it should win easily..and we’ve driven red labels already. I’ve only personally worked with just a few..not sure if we sent them to be crashed or what but the speed is just stupid. Hopefully more KZbinrs will make more videos. I wish our plant had its own KZbin channel so we could be the first to showcase these cars on our track instead of relying on KZbinrs to over populate the reviews

I said this when the concept first came out, I’ll say it again. I like a good bit of what’s happening around the interior and exterior, like specific design moves here and there. The problem for me though is that all of these bits don’t at all seem to come together in any cohesive design language. It’s a crumpled piece of trace paper with hundreds of the little sketches on it. To me it reads like BMW’s designers thought, how would these look as taillights? What about sticking the BMW badges right onto the rear window? Well how does it look to sculpt the headlights this way? Then literally just mashed it all together to gather what the public thinks of it to get their new design direction from.

Got to see one of these in person this weekend for its first day on sale. Black on black spec. It was more impressive in person. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold by the end of the day. It looked so well put together. I know people are hating on the look but it wasn't as odd looking as the 7 series that was parked near it. It looks like a Land Rover competitor in person.

Has more bandwidth than the X5 and X6 M. Feels better to drive casually. Not saying that's necessarily enough to cover the cost, but if it helps, the electric motor in this makes it feel quicker instantly whereas the X5/X6 have to be in the right gear and right situation to pull those perfect numbers. But it doesn't sound as good as the X5/X6, so there's that too.

What's the point of this car? It's fat and heavy and effectively same class as X5/X6. Like what's the game plan here? s68 engine is sure great but than are they not going to give that engine to next gen X5/X6M? If they are advertising performance, one saving grace could be nurburgring record which nobody really care irl but I bet BMW realized that it's probably going to be hard to beat Cayenne Turbo GT. If they wanted to make it luxurious, they should have at least tried to put some of i7 elements in it? Like interior is basically X6/X5 level.

It is also much uglier than the X5. I would just get the 2024 480hp X5 50e PHEV, and you arn't missing out on much, and in many ways the regular X5 is better (The X5 45e is very quite inside and has incredible ride quality). It is also basically half the cost. The way the XM looks alone is deal breaker for me
