Oh, and that rear Dunlop MX14 tire,---unbeatable in anything Golf Course hard or softer. :)

I had a 1997 KX250. End of my racing, and it had a monster mid range power curve that short shifted well. It won the 1997 bike of the year in MXA. It was a bit much for me out of shape at the end of my racing, but man did I go fast in some whooped out Michigan trails with it later. Now, after 18 years off a bike, I have a 2019 YZ250 that I modified the heck out of to make it more like the 97 KX250, but lighter, and better forks. I mean, if you get fast on a bike, I guess you would say it was the best bike you ever owned. My YZ is not the best bike I ever owned. Not stock anyway. Nice build you did.

OH MY GOD, bro this is my dream bike. I sooooo hope I can get myself something like this one day. I ride an 08 kx450, but always rode 2 strokes before. Bunch of old hand me down bikes, but I miss the 2 strokes! Beautiful, incredibly gorgeous bike. My Lord!!

Looks pretty cool. Not a fan of the purple coolant and carb hoses but that's just a small cosmetic. Everything else looks bad ass though and you put a lot of work into it

Thank you, yea the stock shock was purple too so pulled it all in the center a little bit.

Bike looks great , I have a 1997 kx125 but don’t know how to get the graphics for the tx race restyle kit so I was wondering how you got yours.
@SurfTechChannel7 ай бұрын
Thanks Jakob, the graphics can be purchased through a majority of the graphics companies. It would just be the stock 2021-2022 kx250/450 plastics.

oui, TX Race fabrique un kit pour le restyle. Il comprend des supports de montage, des plastiques et un nouveau siège personnalisé : www.txrace.com/product/tx-race-restyle-kit-for-kawasaki-kx125-250-1994-1998/

Nice bike. Just so you know that era of KX250’s had weak bottom ends. Keep up on the crank and bearings.

@@blue_collar_films You are welcome. Not trying to be negative at all. I know the bikes rip. I used to have my pro license and saw it back then. I did the cylinder and head for a guy back then (port and polish). Boyeson rad valves work well too. That combo has worked many times on many old two strokes for me. I used to mill .010" or so off the head but I know high octane gas is expensive. Same 1997 KX250. But it was brand new.

@@jro341 She's got a complete motor rebuild with the except the trans. A lot of compression with the Pro X 2 ring piston. I was looking into the Boyesen rad valves, but this came with V-force reeds on it so I just freshened up the carbon flaps. I may look into doing some motor work, my buddy is a shifter cart motor builder. I'll probably ride/race this thing a couple times a year.

I have a 96 KX 250. What's the front brake setup you have here? My 2021 KX250x has killer front brakes and I need similar performance for the 96. Thx from Au
@blue_collar_films7 ай бұрын
I used the stock caliper and galfer rotor/pads/custom brake lines. I got the front fork guard off of a 2006 KX 250 to route it more modern and not around the bottom of the fork lug like the OEM. It is not 100% perfect and only 2 of the 3 bolt holes line up on the for guard, but it works and haven't had any problems.
