I just bought the 2023 G70 2.0 Prestige Sport. The 2.0 is a rocketship!! No need to pay more $$$ for the 3.0 OUTSTANDING ride and drive. Technology galore!!!! Also voice commands to open or close windows, the truck, ventilated seats, heated seats and more. I have the dark blue with grey- red stitched interior. Very nice. Extremely comfortable driving seat. I don't care about the small leg room in the rear. It's all just for me!!!

@@bigden2755 Yes, I driven a 2023 GV80 with a 2.5T and again, I was floored at the pickup and power. Also drove like a being on a cloud. So smooth and a great transmission. My issue is the 2.5T Prestigue is like 10k more and then insurace was higher so I was glad to have the 2.0T

Great job Ben! Just drove home a brand new 23 G70 AWD 2.0 Sport prestige. Only difference is ours is black w/ the red leather interior. Love this car, Genesis nailed it for sure! Having owned 2 Infiniti G sedans this is definitely a similar car as far as being a tight, well connected sport sedan, but w/ many upgrades in overall refinement and quality. Sure the 3.3 is the road beast, but having had several quick cars over my 60+ years the 2.0 in AWD is just what the doctor ordered for us, checks every box that we needed. Thanks for reviewing the 2.0, it doesn't get the love that the 3.3 gets, but for those that don't need that 0-60 in 4.5 the overall drive w/ the smaller motor is still very impressive indeed, and for the price there's nothing else that comes close.

This is probably the most appropriately priced vehicle in its segment. Doesn’t have the class of Mercedes, or the tech and performance of bmw. But it’s good enough for most people, and I honestly think it’s the best looking exterior in its class aswell.

No heads up display like the competitors, old style steering wheel, sunroof isn't standard (wtf), premium sound system ONLY comes with the navigation + triple beam package so basically you're paying 5k more just to have better speakers. Lexus is milking sedan fanboys.

As a stinger owner I wouldn’t say the interior is “way cheaper” but the handling is by far better in the G70. I think pre-2022 stingers look better than the first gen G70 but the this new exterior is definitely a different story. You also get the luxuries of Genesis maintenance and not mediocre Kia

@@porfiriato84 It really just comes down to personal preference with looks and if you prioritize handling. The stinger is a long distance Grand Tourer. You also get much less space in the backseats and less cargo space with no hatchback in the G70 (I fit my 65” TV back there lol)

I got my Gen baby 2.0 AWD today, switching from 2008 vw gti to this it feels like spaceship :D driving from dealership to home was absolute joy, this car is super comfy, and also fast enough.

I got a 2020 g70 3.3t fully loaded and I love it. I have it in the shop right now though and I just got a 2023 g70 2.0t standard as a loaner car. Man the difference is real. I miss my extra 115 horses already. If your gonna get this car, go for the prestige package atleast. Don't get a standard. Pay the extra and it's worth it. I already miss my car already and it's barely been 3 hours.

I wish this had the Surround View Monitor so you can get the Blind Spot View Monitor which is only on the Sport Prestige package available with the 3.3T. I don't get why Genesis is keeping those features exclusive to the 3.3T when they don't have anything to do with the engine

GREAT VIDEO, LOVE THE EXPLANATIONS AND COMPARISONS. THE 2.0 IS ENOUGH IF GAS AND PRICE IS A BENEFIT. IN THE NORTH EAST (NJ), ALL CARS A BEING SOLD OVER MSRP. THERE ARE NO DEALS ON REGULAR CARS, LET ALONE HIGHER UPPER-CLASS VEHICLES. YOU DO LOSE A FEW FEATURES W/OUT THE 3.0. LOVE THE CAR. MY DEALER LET ME DRIVE BOTH FOR A WEEK TO MAKE A DECISION. I feel that the new version of G70 is *not* an improvement over the old version... I still don't like the front fascia. I don't like the new grille design. I don't like the split headlamps. I miss the fog lights in the old version. I still don't like the mixed digital/physical dash - it looks goofy. Either make it all digital or all physical. I still prefer the rear end in the old version - it looked classier. I still prefer the "boomerang" side vents in the old version to the squarish little vents in the new version. However, I do like the blind spot cameras. I do like the touch-enabled door lock handles. I do like the wireless charging pad. But, overall, I'm happier with the old version. The 4-cylinder engine is nice. It has plenty of power with 252 horses. For everyday driving, this is all the power you need. Great passing power on the highway. The 4-cylinder engine is more fuel efficient than the V-6. With gas prices as they are right now, I am so thankful for the 2.0T.

When the refreshed G70 came out, people gushed over the design. How can we tell if the refreshed model is more loved than the original? Taste is entirely subjective. Some people didn't like the original design, either.

DON’T buy the 2.0t. I’ve driven both and own the 3.3t and the 2.0t is not the right fit for this. Buzzy, underpowered, and lacking any sort of soul. Pass. 3.3t AWD or nothing.

I didn't know that the 2023's are already out. Corporate Genesis told me that they'd be out in the fall. I wonder if there are any differences between the 2022 & the 2023 models. I hope the 2023 model at least has ambient lighting

From what I understand, there are nearly no differences except a higher price tag and the return of power trunk options for certain trim levels. Every time I close the trunk of my 2022 G70, I'm grateful I didn't spend thousands of dollars more so that the trunk would lower itself.

If you value the brand name, cargo space, and pretty tame acceleration, the Q5 is a better choice. If you want a RWD fast sports sedan with excellent handling, the G70 3.3 is obviously superior (the 2.0 G70 isn't a great option in my opinion). There are absolutely downsides to Genesis, but it's a great car for the right person. As is the Q5--they just don't have much in common.

My 2013 Optima has the 2.0 turbo with 273 HP and 269 lb-ft of torque, but the company put the engine together incorrectly and they will eventually use oil. I have a lifetime replacement, and I guess I will get this new 2.0 engine.
