I’ve had my 23 Sport Hybrid for a few weeks now. Completely agree about smoothness. This is the closest ICE car I’ve driven in terms of smoothness to an EV. Power is decent , nothing to be wowed with or disappointed with. Probably would have gone with a 2.0T if they still offered it, but it’s nice getting 40mpg in this and 35mpg in my Miata. Gas prices can’t hurt me

I've had mine for 3.5 weeks now. Love it. Only a couple of gripes so far. The wireless charger appears to only slow charge. The 12-speaker Bose sound system is nice, but thought it would be better. Playing MP3 files sounds a lot better than FM radio. You have to play with the sound settings to get it to sound half decent. The HomeLink mirror should have been standard on the touring model. It is a really nice car.

I just bought the '23 Accord Sport Hybrid and love it. The All black interior is really nice and its just a great car to be in on long commutes like the ones I take daily. The plastic strips in the dash and door panels made me think that Honda could have easily added in some ambient lighting - those strips would be the perfect placement for it.

Test drove the 1.5T EX and then the hybrid sport back to back. Preferred the driving dynamics of the lighter 1.5T which also didn't sacrifice much comfort compared to the hybrid. However, I am worried about the blown head gasket issues reported for the 1.5T.

Even if a blown head gasket is a common issue with the 1.5T, it's a $500 job at the independent. Never use dealerships for anything, they are just robbing people and also they don't know what they are doing, don't be fooled by the fact it's official Honda service. That being said, I would rather go with the Hybrid, it has even better fuel economy and the EV side makes it peppier from a dead stop. Also probably quieter overall. For $39,000 the Accord is such a huge disappointment. Looks are subjective so I’ll just stick to features although I’m not a fan of the new front end. 1.) No fog lights. 2.) Not enough sound deadening; Honda is known for having noisier than average cabins. 3.) No heated steering wheel. 4.) Blind spot monitoring w/ rear cross traffic alert is an additional option from the factory, weird, especially for the top trim. 5.) The digital display looks borrowed from a VW Jetta. It doesn’t take up the full gauge cluster and just leaves huge plastic borders on the sides (which I’m assuming was done on purpose so that it’ll seem like a “huge” new feature when they update this model in a few years to have a full display 😉). 6.) The sound system truly falls short, especially when Mazda also uses Bose and it sounds beyond incredible in their vehicles. 7.) Their backup camera is a joke. They’ve been using the same cheap-a** ~2mp camera for the past 10 years now. 8.) No front camera and/or no 360 degree camera. 9.) No panoramic sun roof. 10.) The lack of premium touch points like brushed aluminum or chrome on the interior. 11.) I guess this is subjective to styling, but why they chose to use a worse looking rim than what’s on their sport trim is beyond me!?! Every time I see one of these in the sport trim (yes, the base sport-hybrid trim NOT the all black rims on the sport-L hybrid) with the nicer rims I think it’s the top trim and then I have to remind myself it’s actually not. I hardly even notice this accord with the rims they use on the touring. What a huge let down this Accord is :(

I test drove one of these at my dealer around a month or so ago. Perhaps they've addressed it on your press car with an update, but I found LKAS in this car to be the worst of any Honda I've driven thus fat, including my own insight. Seems as though the steering assist motor is more aggressive in this car than their older cars with lane keeping, so maybe that had something to do with it? Not entirely sure. I also had some weirdness with radar cruise like you did. That could also be fixed with an update. Honda repositioned the sensor so it wouldn't get stolen like did in the previous gen, so it might just need some tuning. I do miss the 2.0T in the Accord, but I think it wouldn't really work in this particular car. It didn't sell well to the masses, and its sporty character doesn't really match what Honda wanted out of this car. Not geared towards enthusiasts anymore. It's fine though, since they have a few more cars to fit that bill between Honda an Acura. Thanks for doing a follow up with the accord! It's refreshing to see a video of it outside of the press event.

You have to pay $34k just to not have cloth seats and you only get mid 40s MPG, take the Camry XSE/XLE hybrid all day. Way more feature, looks better, cheaper, more reliable (Toyota hybrid tech is 20 yrs in the making) and it will actually be more sporty than this new Accord.

🤡🚙 why they did this to the accord with the 2.0T is that itbetter than the TLX in interior size and comfort. So now if you a true performer you have to pay $20,000 for the different car logo. Only people with higher incomes are meant to have the better things and us common folk are good enough to just better fuel economy and CVT transmissions. Anyone who hypes cars that are truly not worth it are just lying to themselves and the public.
