I have the 2022 Honda Civic Sport 2.0 engine for almost 2 years now. I get 33-34 mpg around town and I get just over 45 on highway driving. I have no complaints about the car.

I've had mine since February and it's been a very pleasant car to drive. I was so used to driving SUV and crossover type vehicles so to have my first sedan took a bit of getting used to, but I grew to love it. Went with platinum white and went out of my way to get that 2.0 L engine which is why I went with this trim in the first place. This car makes more mundane trips bearable and it's come in handy so many times when I wanted to park in tighter spaces, etc. I can drive super conservatively, but then go really fast when needed. Honda knocked it out of the park as usual. Currently at over 4000 miles on it and mostly from everyday driving and the occasional longer trip or two. I also drove a newer Toyota Corolla rented from Avis a few months back and it was decent as well. It had just 3000+ miles on it. Also, it fits so much in terms of groceries. I was shocked by how much space there is in the trunk, even compared to the crossovers I've tried before like the Rav4, or the CRV Hybrid my cousin has.

I’ve had the 23’ Sport for a year now. Roughly 5k miles. I’ve driven on dirt roads, up mountain passes, city driving, and open road highways. So far I really like this car. My first CVT transmission experience has been surprising really. I love the smooth transitions, and while most vehicles are moving to CVT’s, I chose Honda because of their reputation. They tried to push a turbo on me when purchasing, but I prefer a naturally aspirated engine because of longevity, as I keep my vehicles 10 years or more. I found in Sport mode you get more than enough power using the paddle shifters when needed, but most of my driving is city to and from work anyway. The only features I wish this particular model came with but didn’t is rear seat cup holders, rear seat USB ports and fog lights.

This is a very misleading review. The black accents and other HPD add ons DO NOT come standard on the vehicle, and this should have been mentioned.

@@technollusion It was MSRP at the local dealer. I sadly turned the offer down and got me a Ford Bronco Sport instead. I was really hesitant to purchase a car i never tested before. One thing I would comment on is that the Honda dealership does upsell too much stuff with the car purchase "total price of car came up to $30,000".

The Canadian version of the 2023 civic sport, has a lot more features than the USA version. Add a sunroof, heated steering wheel, heated seats, lane departure warning, more USB ports, 60/40 rear bench with rear cup holders. It's a higher trim level than the EX.

I'd think the manual transmission would help make the most of this 2.0 liter engine's 158 hp and be less of a "whiney combination." The CVT is more appropriate (i.e., less of a disadvantage) for the more-powerful 1.5 Turbo.

I got this 24. You have to turn off stop start if your going to do 0 to 60. I actually pulled a 6. You have to know how to work the pedal. You don't floor a injection. Ride is bouncy.

We have one of these and we also have a new Elantra SEL Premium ($1000 cheaper). The Honda looks better and drives better. The Hyundai blows it away when it comes to accoutrements. Every time I get in the Honda, I am amazed by the features it doesn't have that the Hyundai does. The son that has the Honda doesn't care though, he's super frugal and wants the car that will last him 15 years.

@@SmartPracticeSuccess If it has the 1.5L turbo in it you can forget 12-15 years. The oil dilution issue will kill your car long before then. Change your oil more often to hopefully avoid the problem. If you are not familiar with the problem, you better look it up. There is a class action lawsuit against Honda for their gas leaking oil diluting pistons on the 1.5L turbo, the 2.0L NA engines should go for 15 years no problem.

@@Steve-O_FPVI’m familiar with the problem, though I wasn’t when I bought the car last year. Oil dilution doesn’t affect all of the Civics and I don’t know what percentage are affected, but I know it mostly affects those in colder climates. I’m in South FL, so we’ll see how it goes… As far as NA vs turbo, I already bought the car, so have to live with it and take it as it comes.

@@ZBatt1the turbo can be a hit or miss. The biggest issue with the 1.5T is that it’s blowing head gaskets. My 2017 blew a head gasket twice. I wish the 2.0 civic had more features.

The high pressure direct injection cylinders leak too much fuel past the piston rings into the oil. This leads to premature wear. There is a class action suit against Honda for this and the reason I will not buy Honda until they change the motor.

Turbo engines dont last as long. Turbo pushes oil down so the top half of the engine isn't fully lubed. 1.5 weak engine with turbo. Good luck going past 120k miles

Screens are already too large. We dont need tablets and TV on our dashes. We need to go back to no-eyes-needed knobs to keep these modern ridiculously distracted, low-observation skill drivers to keep their eyes on the road.

The screen being so big and displaying our maps and music make it easier, instead of having to look at a smaller screen on our phone, which is more distracting and difficult. Also, lack of observation and confusion over screens, seems like a personal issue that anyone can have, don’t get a a car with a big screen if it makes it harder for you to drive. A minimalist car in a tech driven society sounds more like a fashion statement than reality.

Bad review. It is not "Si" like at all. The 11th gen 2022 had all that look before the Si was even announced. Also, the Sport does NOT come with the HPD package like you make it sound, or even the black badging, and the front bumper is not Si like... Again, poor info.

The Civic Touring trim has the extra sound deadening, so it’s the most quiet. Not sure how much quieter though because the Civic has never been a quiet ride. I paid $31.6K MSRP for my new 2023 Civic Touring in January 2023. Prices haven’t dropped in my area (south Florida). Is it worth it to you at that price?

I got the cash and debated waiting until later this year. But ultimately, I bought in January because I didn’t believe prices would go down any time soon due to Honda’s low inventory and inflation. Looks like I was right. Honda’s prices aren’t coming down any time soon (unless the credit crunch starts squeezing them soon).
