Definitely an odd combo, but reliability and cloth seats are what i look for in a vehicle. I have had leather seats in a vehicle, and for sure they're not durable for the long haul. If only the base trim would have the option of a moonroof, that would be a game changer! Thanks for the great review!

I just bought one. I’m in Malaysia and the base model comes with 17” rims. The design is exactly the same like in the video. Except they are not steel wheel with wheelcaps. They are alloy rims.

I liked your video a lot. Would you be able to comment on the 1.5 litre turbo engine and previous complaints about oil dilution. Also there have been concerns raised about blown head gaskets relating to the head bolts. It seems like Honda has done a good job with the CVT as there have been no complaints that I’ve seen. The one thing I do like is the new design over the previous generation. It reminds of the VW Atlas. What trims are the chrome alloy wheels available on? Thank you! 🎉

Hi Peter, Can you explain how the manual seats work? I only see 2 levers. My wife is petite and likes to sit up high. That's about the only possible deal breaker for me. Thanks!

That one lever (the front one) acts as a pump that raises the seat when it's pulled and lowers the seat when it's pushed. Works great for people of different heights!

I'm a fan of both brands! It would depend on what you want as each manufacturer definitely has their own take on what a small crossover vehicle should be, but both manufacturers make a strong case with their vehicles.

Width between wheel wells is 41 inches. Compare that to 50 inches in the Honda Pilot. I can easily fit 2 XL dog boxes side by side in a Pilot.

Up here in Alaska I like the Honda Pilot. 6-cylinder engine that can last >250,000 miles. No CVT transmission, 10-speed transmission that can last > 250,000 miles. Greatest width between wheel wells (50 inches) so I can easily fit a sheet of plywood or 2 XL dog boxes side by side in a Honda Pilot. Excellent All-Wheel Drive for winter driving up here in interior Alaska.

I actually quite liked the way it functioned in person. It may not look as high tech on video but it was clean and easy to read and gave good information. It could be that I don't need a whole lot of fancy graphics though too. It may just be a difference of tastes between us. Thanks for watching!

@@stargate25645 I like them as well. It's not a one or the other thing for me. If they display the information clearly and logically, I'd give high praise. If the graphics and fancy images get in the way of communicating the information, then I would point out that I don't like it. When I first began talking about electric vehicles, and praised what they did well, I received strong feedback from traditional car people. They were surprised to hear that I personally owned a 2 door, manual transmission manual everything Jeep Wrangler, and an electric vehicle. Sometimes things aren't an either or thing for me. Sometimes I can recognize two totally different types of good things. When it comes to screens, I look for precise, clear information. If they do that well and add graphics that don't distract, or detract... It gets praise.

I would argue that with an 8" screen, I might as well be using my phone and not their system. The fact that it's such an old system looks-wise isn't the primary concern.

@@stargate25645 that's fair. I'd counter that Kia and Hyundai currently make poor use of their larger screens sometimes. They should update their back up camera systems to use all the screen real estate. They should get rid of their home screen that is more art than practicality especially when it comes to the GPS display. I don't like that the current software doesn't leave the screen where you had it when you turned the car off... So yeah, they're not perfect either.

There are lots of FWD vehicles sold in Canada every year. This isn't going to be a popular model but a lot of people are used to driving FWD sedans and want the convenience of this body style.

What about bank interest rates in 2023? 8% interest on a brand new car, no way! The interest is 12,350 $ the amount you pay the bank on top of the price of the car when you buy a base model Honda c-rv without 4x4. Calculate bank interest for your favorite model. What do you think!? I for one cannot accept such a thing from the banks. I am no longer interested in buying a new car.
