Great videos. Long ago, I moved outta Illinois, but have the unfortunate issue of family still there. Dad, former Marine, would hate to see the shape Illinois is in these days. I am the only son of an only son , so I have the only "gun habit" in the family, but I am grateful I live in a State where farmers and hunters have more guns than criminals and the crime rate shows that. Stay safe and stay trained, folks! On the positive,, still know a LOT of Illinois officers, and they aren't real strict on "idiot policies". :)

This came up in my feed so I watched you . Let me say I can’t believe the hoops and obstacles you have meet to own a firearm. I open carry sometimes and was doing that a few weeks ago with my suppressor on my weapon . I forgot I was wearing it when I went to my bank to deposit some cash . I didn’t realize it till I reached around to get my wallet . Nobody including the teller gave a darn . You know why ? Because I live in the free state of Missouri. It’s normal .

@@whitepunch1392 I suppose so. I was over at Lead Farm near Versailles a couple weeks ago. Lots of open carrying in the 5K Run n Gun. ;-) I really expected to see a lot more while visiting. I bought a place north of Poplar Bluff in a really rural area and didn't see anyone carrying ever. I open carried more than the locals and I'm a Chicago city boy. I got a lot of strange looks too!

Viramontez v cook county, FPC is suing against cook county's assault weapon ban. We should be getting an update in a couple weeks.

It is likely the cook case is to be merged with the highland park case. However dont hold your breath on the ruling as these cases normally take years.

ISRA, ISRA-ILA.- helped in People v Brown to find the FOID unconstitutional. FPC has a current lawsuit against cook county's AWB. SAF sued in McDonald v Chicago along with ISRA. I support these groups bc they've proven themselves to be effective in court.

As of right now, only way to get an sbr in the state is by having a c&r FFL correct? Since they are exempt from ILCS 5/ SEC 24-2 specifically subsection b and of interest to me is part 7 (a). Curio and relic license holders. Short of becoming a sot ffl 07

Illinois already has a list of gun owners and registry through the foid card program. Southern Illinois will not comply with new laws.

I’m a disabled USMC Veteran and at the beginning of the Covid I was scared of my own shadow and asked for help because I wasn’t getting any from the VA. All I needed was my antidepressant medication but I was hospitalized for a few days just to get on medication, this hospitalization was not forced or ordered by a court but when I got home a detective was there for my FOID Card small town USA a little over 7,000. I thought revoked cards only happened when deemed unfit by courts? I don’t know how this new 2023 law is. Being able to purchase without having a FOID. Unsure of how to answer questions for background check as this didn’t seem legal. If you are unable to answer this questions can you point me in right direction.

As a CDL holder, I have to be fingerprinted every four years to hold a hazardous materials endorsement because of the Patriot act. This is done at my expense at the cost of $90

these laws WILL pass, regards of how many protest, and many law abiding Illinois citizens will be in limbo (and possibly be considered felons) until these are challenged in the courts...which means we have YEARS to wait (and possibly be considered felons) until they hopefully get reversed/overturned...

So I'm loaded up plenty to deal with whatever tyranny shows its ugly head. Courts first and if they don't play nice, we might be seeing another 1776.

Besides, I would just hop the border and become a free resident of MO if IL decided to get that tyrannical. I stay to fight this madness. It seems a statewide AWB may not even get through IL congress even with a Democrat super majority.

My opinion is to fight now or to fight later, and I'd rather fight now so my kids don't have to. Red states are turning purple, and it's not like the federal government loves firearm freedoms.
