I drove a 2021 Compass Trailhawk from Enterprise for 2 months and put about 11,000 miles on it during that time. I personally didn't mind the 9 speed and the 2.4L. I will neither confirm or deny sampling it's rock crawling capabilities on several occasions. At the end of the 2 months I would definitely consider buying one but would buy a used one for like $24K not a new one for $44K.

I’m a big fan too.. just got this same compass yesterday..!!! Just shockingly better than I expected..!! Though the display for speedometer is different.. I like the display on mine..!! Turbo lag is a little annoying but Seriously it’s a way more luxurious Then I would have thought..!!

I bought a 2023 Compass Trailhawk last Saturday and absolutely love it. Prior to this my daily driver has been 2012 Compass latitude with the CVT transmission. Fell in love with the new Compass model and it appears Jeep fixed all the concerns on the prior model. No more noisy CVT, no cheap plastic interior, an engine that actually has some power, and much improved suspension/handling. The price is the only downside…I got the Trailhawk fully loaded with all optional packages. MSRP is 47,215, paid 37,700 for a full 20% off sticker. Still quite a steep jump in price from earlier models.

I always love when ppl say they're at high elevation at 4,500 ft. I'm at 6,200, and just going up town adds another 400, and one town over adds 1,000.

Looks fantastic! I think the Compass makes the most sense in lower trims such as Sport and Latitude, especially now with the 4×4 system being standard and not an option, like before.

Jeep did a great job with the refresh. The interior looks fantastic. But a fully loaded Compass Trailhawk is over $47,000. That's a bit steep...

I literally test drove just about everything in this class, with the exception to Kia brand subcompacts, and this is what I settled on (white high altitude w/ elite and drrive assist packages MSRP $44k). This will be my daily that eventually goes to my teenage daughter so I splurged a little. I will say the styling is what did it for me. The materials, layout, and feel of the interior coupled with the "baby Grand Cherokee" design is top notch. A lot of reviews point out stuff that is irrelevant to me so I looked pass them. If you want something fun and sporty, the CX-5 is better but I hated the interior and infotainment system. If you want something more off-road capable I think the Rav4 TRD Off-Road is a better bet but you will lose a lot of comfort / luxury features. Just my 2 cents, hope this helps.

This reminds me of Road and Track car of the year. With absolutely no consideration of longevity or quality means testing they rate cars by how well they they look, drive, and feel brand new. It reminds of an old Paul Thorne song, "Everybody Looks Good at the Starting Line". BTW I'm the happy owner of a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It's been a great car so far but I have no illusions about its build quality compared to a Toyota.

My 2020 Jeep compass, is a POS. 45,000, mi and the engine needs to be replaced. And apparently this is extremely common with these things. I highly doubt they've made much improvement in the new engine. It's unfortunate, I've had many Jeep Grand Cherokees in my life and not a single issue. I thought I was good getting a compass but clearly not. Thankfully it's a lease and I can just give it right back and get a Toyota instead

Yep. It's not even close. They're going to have to put a low range and a rear locker in the compass or my next vehicle will be a Ford probably... To be honest... You'll probably remember that they got rid of the Patriot also which to me was okay and that makes sense because it was basically the same vehicle as the compass.

I'm from Brazil the interesting fact we have 2L Diesel Turbo on Jeep Compass top level versions for a long time (5-6 years) and the old versions (2017-2020) 2.0 L Gas (boring and gas hungry) . I moved to Canada and my father in-law have Compass 2021. 2.4 L Tiger shark too lazy and gas hungry... My father on Brazil bought Jeep Compass 2022 1.3L Turbo (On Brazil we have 2 options new 1.3L Gas and 2L Turbo Diesel) 1.3L Downsizing is amazing in comparisson then 2.4L Tiger shark or 2.0 Brazilian old version but the 2.0 Diesel is more reliable.. Jeep Compass is amazing car, 2L Diesel is super cool and reliable, everybody say "my mini Cherokee".. it's the TOP 1 SUV on Sale on Brazilian market. I moved to Canada in 2022 and we have this version very solid on brazilian market but on North America the 2022 model looks like old brazilian Compass? I hadn't understood. doesn't make any sense to me lol funny fact.

It is a new ZF that is FWD biased and supports electrification whereas the ZF 9 spd doesn't

@@MichaelSmith-kr9qw As long as it is zf manufacturer based on older modification of zf-8 speed with some modifications that supports electrification and not zf 9 speed - all good. For some reason, zf 9 doesn't enjoy good review nor reliability either.

For $44K + ...I would rather have a lot of peace of mind buying a new or slightly used Toyota PU or SUV of any kind. With any Toyota new or slightly used, I know I'll be getting a super reliable vehicle that is rugged, fun, and virtually maintenance free, other than the minimum required and for at least 10-13 years. Yes Jeeps can be fun, but my wallet is the ultimate decider, if a vehicle is a great long term purchase or not and my wallet says go with Toyota.

The 2L engine and zf 8 speed have a better reputation than the previous drive train but these are overpriced especially here in Canada. Unless its a Wrangler they aren't selling, the pricing is not competitive especially with Jeeps reputation for lack of reliability

It's a Jeep, made by Fiat Chrysler. One of the worst auto makers on the planet for quality and reliability. Yes it's nice looking and I'm sure it's comfortable but it's going to fall apart after a few years.

I have a Fiat Panda 4x4, it is 42 years old, it came from my grandfather's 1.2 liter turbo petrol, it has almost 3 million kilometers and it still grinds the roads very well, it has an engine that is a bomb and the bodywork is no less, never had any problems part of doing the usual oil filter change etc... Fiat bomb, seeing is believing!!! 😎
