I really like the design. In the last couple years, most manufacturers have bought up their best designs, even boring Prius, suddenly became attractive to my eyes 😅

I like the fact that Kia are not just combining the power figures, but rather displaying the peak figure. That’s how it should be done!

Drove each version. All three are great. The EV is my favorite. Quiet and smooth. It’s just a little expensive though, compared to what Tesla is doing at the moment. Charges slower and is just a slower vehicle but if you’re ok with that, the utility is great and it’s a fantastic commuter and weekend warrior. I really loved this car in general.

4:00 very little losses. It's just that the motor makes peak HP at a different RPM from the engine.

I disagree that the Prius blows this out of the water, push the Prius a bit harder and the cvt makes the worst noise, i know I’ve heard it for years in my Corolla hybrid. That’s why I’d prefer this with a traditional gearbox.

Decent improvement over the old Niro, but the new digital climate control and digital RPM gauge in newer Kias would drive me NUTS coming from an older 2020 Telluride and a 2022 K5 myself (and having worked in product planning at Hyundai/Kia for a couple years too). I grew to love their simple controls. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Nice review as always!

We love our 19 Niro Touring . I'm not saying that the new car isn't improved , because it seems quieter , but once we slapped on 16 inch wheels and tire , our car suits us to a tee . I grew up with 14 and 15 inch wheel tire combos , and don't appreciate modern clunky expensive tires . I live in Winnipeg with 5 months of winter and rough streets . 18 inch wheels are dumb here . 16 inchers are a nice ballance .

Kind of liking the design refresh. Very volvo in the back. Quite amazing seeing the evolution of Kia/Hyundai. 35K is a hard pill to swallow for a Kia though, and it'll face stiff competition from the CRV Hybrid in its top trim. I can see the lower/mid trim being a great seller though and relatively uncontested at the moment in its price point as a hybrid CUV-like thing.
@ggggg-fo2xq Жыл бұрын
32k-33k if you go for the sx which has most of the same features. while the crv tops out at 40 and by the time dealer gets ahold of you because "its a honda" closer to 44K.

Currently have a 2014 GTI with three child seats in the back 😬. Looking at this or the new Prius. Heard you say the Prius wins it in most categories, but are they similar in size? Especially the width in the rear seats.

I have the Niro hybrid in the EX trim. PLEASE explain why Kia has a base model with an 8" infotainment screen, WIRED phone charger and WIRELESS Apple carplay while the higher up trim level has the 10.25" screen, WIRELESS charging and WIRED carplay. It makes zero sense. If you plug in your phone to use carplay, it negates the need for a wireless charging system. The opposite is also true. Why have wireless carplay if you need to plug in your phone to charge it?

Hello, thanks for the nice review! regarding acceleration, your measurement was ~ 9 sec for 0-60 mph but official numbers published by the manufacturer are 10.8 sec with the 18" wheels or 10.4 sec with 16" wheels. Do you often see such big differences between actual and official numbers esp in favour of the real acceleration? Thanks!

I have a 19 Niro hybrid it gets much better milage in true city driving especially on the 16 inch wheels . I get better economy than Chris but we don't drive 80 mph here . In stop and go red light and slow city driving its very economical . We ditched the 18 inch tires /wheels and put on 16's much smoother better mpg . This 23 has some upgrades over our 19 and seems quieter . Side note 4 years in June everything's fine . .
