RX 500h owner here at over 3k miles odo. In short my driving impression is awesome and I can care less about wireless Carplay, recess cup holders etc. Noticed the instant torque when giving gas before the red light. Took it out on couple road trips and the passing power is there. The road noise is bare minimum. Although, taking it out on corners you can feel the weight of the RX but its not a bad thing. In the end of the day the RX 500h is great for the price if you compare it other brands such as BMW etc. But considering its a Lexus which will last forever, this is where the RX shines. The smoothness of the suspension with 21inch wheels is great as you expect with the Lexus brand. The road noise surprised me and very happy with it and its at a minimum. We have been getting a lot of double looks from drivers and passengers when driving the RX, not sure if its a good or bad thing. We had a hard look at the NX as well but the size for our lifestyle wont work for us as the cargo space is small and the center console felt tight for our Asian bodies. Awesome video and I am sure you'll trade in your NX for the RX soon buhaha 😎

Thanks for your impressions and thoughts Julius! Definitely agree with you on the noise in the passing power, the suspension is also much more responsive than the NX. Time will tell if we end up trading up personally, but I couldn’t agree with you more compared to the other German counterparts, we felt much more comfortable with the Lexus as a long-term vehicle!

Hey there, I bought an Acura MDX 2022 and have not been happy with the ride. It's okay on the highway but around town, I can feel all of the little cracks and washboard-type effects crashing through the suspension to the seat. Suffice it to say, I am not very pleased. I am looking to trade it in for a Lexus RX but I cannot decide between the 500h and the 350h. I'd prefer the 500h for the power, rear wheel steering, looks, and adaptive suspension, but I am concerned about the ride quality over rougher roads/cracks and the seat comfort on long-distance driving. Do you have any insights/observations about long-term seat comfort and low-speed ride quality?

@@Mercer1012 ​​⁠during this past summer we went on a few road trips of at least 90 minutes drive away from the city (Seattle) overall quality of the roads were okay but when road were rougher, construction road dips etc. our 500h handled the bumps like it wasn't there. The seats were awesome at all times short and long drives although I have very little padding on my Asian butt haha. At low speeds the driving experience is even better! Our passengers always compliment the floaty ride quality. We test drove both 350h and 500h and we are happy with the power delivery of the 500h

They don’t last forever. That adaptive variable suspension will eventually need to be repaired, brakes, radiators, tires, oxygen sensors and on and on. Toyotas aren’t cheap to maintain. After four years, all cars need repairs.

@@carswithsonduren Wrong....The excess noise You no doubt encountered on th NX was because of the "DOG EARED"// CRAP run Flat tires by Bridgestone.............My wife has a 2022 RX and my NX is Much quieter even with the ICE going......with Elec only the NX is damn silent....However with my new Michelin tires ...NON RUN FLAT my NX is quieter than my wife's RX ...much quieter and that is with the ICE % Electric combined...& Oh combined MPE is 89 miles per gallon.....YEP 89 miles per gal of Regular

If I had 2 kids, I’d go with the RX - it’s not roomier. If you can afford the premium on the RX, you will want the RX!

Lexus needs to fix the Driver Alert system. It is VERY ANNOYING! Why design a safety system that is so annoying that owners are forced to disable it?

........500H is a nice vehicle ...........*** However** the NX 450h+ "F" Sport is much better...simply not as much Mass to push around!!!! Same Torque out of the hole via elec & gas...Same 0-60 5.6 same low center of gravity via large batt....HOWEVER I Do-Not Use GAS at all and you MUST use Premium....where if I ever had to use gas it uses 89% oct / Reg......... the 450h++ "F"F sport has adaptive suspension and the ability to be plugged into 120V house recharge for 49 miles...Win Win!!....My engine is Naturally Aspirated as in No Freak'n Hot running faulty turbo. Yhe best of the best: *~*~*~ BAR None: The Lexus 450h+ “F” Sport is the absolute best PRACTICAL nicest Vehicle ever produced.....!!! Now that the RX 450h+ has no “F” Sport option and is only 275 hp with dog eared- turbo (do your homework on Turbos very BAD to have!!!) and the RX 500 is a non naturally aspirated Premium gas hog...the “NX” 450h+ “F” Sport is the VERY BEST....End of Story!... NX 450h+ “F” Sport is quick with torque out of the hole & no slouch at 0-60 in 5.5 Sec...and with Electric only 47 miles with plug in to house hold 120 Volt, & 89 miles per gallon, Reg Gas in EV combined mode Sadly, the 450h+ “F” was only available in California and Florida, Smog compliant states and Lexus RELIABILITY and Re-Sale! VERY very Limited, so econ 101 makes this car go up in price are selling gor $68,000 USED with 7K miles at this writing.....(if you can find one!, especially the "F" Sport 450h+). All wheel drive with adaptive suspension: Unlike 98% of vehicles where you loose your Proverbial when you drive them off the lot. So, " ~*~*~*RUN Do-Not walk to the NX 450h+ "F" Sport! ... . I own the Lexus 2022 450h+ F sport. Elegant and refined!.....Note the Heads Up display on the windshield W/8” & 14” Info on Dash board with Crystal Clear display on both, alone makes the Lexus better........Mine is In Atomic Silver Glows in the Sun Light with Lil" grey / Gold metal flake" and same Circut Red interior.. but with Electric battery...Has 306 Horse power 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (Via Road and track at drag strip!.) ** BIG NOTE: This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...SEE: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lam8n4uIps2Ypas ...ON Turbo issues = Very Bad!..... I use Electricity exclusively non combustion! Simply said: see euro cars shop time & inevitable “ Check Engine Light CONTINUALLY!!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve 89 miles per Gallon ( Uses 87% octane / Regular gas according to user manual) in Hybred mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole....*Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beeemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy, a V8 will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness) ......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! My car has Red Calipers against Powder coated Gloss spoke Black mags and All red "F" Sport Badges. Has ALL Nice Carbon Fiber on ALL interior some have Piano Black i.e. Center Consul arm rests dash board & rear center heater consul between seats. ** Don't mind at all making these kind of upgrades as when you drive off the lot and your * Car, Note: As this particular vehicle goes UP IN VALUE: do you know of ANY other vehicle that will Go UP IN Value today??? MY 450h+ has gone up in value $17K at this writing!. FAR better built than Euro's (mine built in Japan) sadly, new releases are now being made in Canada! Canada is Union Shop, Like USA Union shops...no one gets fired.... for a hang over and bad work??? maybe)..... However, Lexus is Far more reliable...Far better Re-Sale that Euro beemers or mercedes (Check Engine Light Gucci headache) .!... IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ANYWHERE do grab it!......"econ 101 / Supply & Demand" .....Has (3) elec. motors gett'n 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (road and track) HIGH torque QUICK out of Hole!......~*~*Never EVER have I used gas * but highly comforting to have the option..... gett'n 47+ miles per 120 Volt charge (real world driving my experience.)....Almost Silent operation in elec....So do your research, PLEASE......as this is Far better than any European beemer, mercedes and korean etc. All those are depreciating the moment you drive off the lot & simple oil change / maintenance are extremely costly. The aforementioned Euros …....And are UNRELIABLE and get BAD Gas Mileage to say nothing of the: GAS HOG unproven G 70, & RDX not worth mentioning. Z Best of the BEST F Sport 450h+ ! ….One more thing, Jus' a heads up!......My wife drives the RX 2020 model...Consider putting Michelin's at $1000.00 0n / @ ebay deal is out the door and balanced......... on your NX 450h+ F Sport............ replace the Idiot Run Flats that the dealer wants a $1200.00 extra for warr because like me, You WILL eventually get a flat and the Run your WALLET Flats are required to replace??? are you freak'n kidding????....Michelin's primacy same size &......Far and away EVEN a much smoother ride, Shissh, Do Not tell my wife ...even smoother than her 2020 RX 350....because My "F" Sport has the added "Adaptive Suspension" along with lower center of gravity because of Large battery centered Low...+ Soft no roll stabil ride, Much better ride than the HARD Run Flat Bridgestones that come stock. I Carry a Batt. quality inflator ( DeWalt 20V MAX Corded/Cordless Air Inflator ) and string tar impregnated rope insert-er and Do-Not wait for AAA. Consider Use in Only Plug -in and a Hybred NOT a All electric Automobile!.........Using All electric YOU MUST consider YOUR Consider all the above insight, using a Credit Card to Open doors, start the car and monitor via phone app... & and You WILL Have the Best of the Best in the Lexus 450h+ “F” Sport and reflect having a Sophisticated, Elegant & classy platform as well! This vehicle has gone up in price approx. &17K+ at this writing, since I bought it! @ that increase in value what is the downside? ...Additionally the Korean CRAP!...Genesis,...... Has and is plegged with Transmission PROBLEMS i.e. the Torque Converter ...the Clutch & Solinoid issues cause cross contamination of fluids....basically Korean Crap!// .So Guys!...let's Jus' get real leave our egos parked till the weekend, we all know these EURO headache's are just for EGO!.* (SHOW OFF)../ insecure people for the most part?.....* Crash test on BMW x3 & Lexus clearly shows LEXUS NX the best results / winner kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZy5Y3mqo7abkLc. *~*~*~Intelligent people drive a LEXUS...when we go to work / appointment and or KNOW we MUST be somewhere, i.e. an emergency I drive my Lexus….I have been fortunate to own 5 Ferrari's of various configurations to exercise my Ego as well, So lets leave our Gucci cars for the weekend Polo Pony events. One more thing, D0-Not Lease your car and get ripped off!
