Nice! Some of these weren't even on my radar yet. That Arkanoid game looks like it's doing what Pinball Quest did for pinball. I wonder if it will work with the Vaus controller.

I was indeed influenced by Pinball Quest, more than Arkanoid in fact. I didn't plan to support the Vaus controller, but a lot of people ask for it! One problem is that all the buttons are used, and the Vaus only has one buttons. I can work around this... we'll see!

Great video dude. Black Jewel looks like what Rastan 2 should've been. I wonder if Karzoid is the beginning of the Arkanoidvania genre. Also, I'm pretty sure Cedric is an 8-bit Dread Pirate Roberts. :D

black jewel reborn looks amazing on the NES and personally i think its even better than the Genesis port they made (why? because it fits WAY better on 8bits than on 16bit, the style and graphics are more old than 16b.) The "arkanoid" game looks really good (and i love arkanoid style games)... what i do not understand is what the eck did you see of metroid on it :p The storied Sword seems like a fantastic game.

Glad you like what you saw. As far as the metroid thing goes, its mainly the way you have to progress, open this and unlock that to move to the next area, maybe backtrack here now that you have a new item. That kind of thing. Hope this helps!

I'm also struggling to find it anywhere. On the linked Website it says that the Pre-Order starts on 12.April which I guess should have been 2023? But now it's May 2024, so the game might have never been released... PS: Developer Jeremías Babini died before it was released. :-o

That is a perfectly valid question. Most of these can be played on emulators but many games for NES are now independently released by the developers on cartridges. The look and feel and play just like the cartridges of old too. Another way to play is to get the rom and use what's called an everdrive which is a cart that allows you to load games onto it to be played on your NES. Hope this helps!

Black Jewel looks awesome and would love to back both the NES, SNES, and Genesis versions. Blades of the Lotus seems like a cool idea. I'm not keen on the idea of a Candyman game where you play as he Candyman as I think a better concept would be where you play somebody trying to avoid Candyman with nothng but your wits about you. Now, if somebody were to make a M3gan game where you play as M3gan trying to escape the Funki Toys HQ while killing employees with whatever's availible and solving puzzles to proceed would be the greatest thing ever.
