According to many Tunisians, this scientist was born in France and studied there for a few years and then had moved to the US, this award is a reward for his hard work and also a reward for the American educational system and environment not Tunisia, never seen an Italian or Irish being proud of an American who won Nobel prize because his ancestors are Italians or Irish

@@togomori3008 His first name is Moungi, and his family name is Bawendi. His father's name is Mohamed Salah. Their genes are Tunisian. He was born in Paris and spent several years living in Tunis. Subsequently, they immigrated to the United States. There are many immigrants in similar situations, and they take great pride in their Tunisian roots ! Say something positive and useful !

@user-uq1fs7gz2o Being Tunisian is not determined by language or one's current place of residence; rather, it is defined by what resides in the heart and the mind. Hundreds of thousands of Tunisians live abroad due to challenging economic conditions, yet they hold on to their Tunisian identity, frequently returning and visiting their homeland. It's important to understand and support the choices of scientists seeking the optimal environment to make significant contributions to science. Blaming them for seeking opportunities that align with their goals is unfair, very unfair. Some respect, please!
@togomori3008 Жыл бұрын
@@akaroui9227 Half of his genes are coming from his French mother, I expect at least some kind of accuracy in here. You people are desperately trying to have some sort of credit to Tunisia in this achievement to feel some pride because nothing makes you proud by being a Tunisian now! Nothing at all.
