Loved the DC2 content the most. I'm not a Honda guy, more of a Toyota and Australian Ford guy but I love the down and dirty nuts and bolts stuff no matter what you're building. Always something to learn from watching that and I can live vicariously while I'm at work away from my cars for weeks on end. I really appreciate the way you deliver it too. No stress, no hype, no unnecessary theatrics. Just cool, calm, collected and straight to the point. Just like me

I really appreciate the feedback and kind words! It's always mental turmoil judging whether I'm hitting the right balance of helpful or boring and entertaining or superfluous. haha It's quite the compliment since you're not a Honda guy! Happy New Year! 🎊

Keep it up Steve, good luck on 2024 and I'm sure everything will work out on its due time. Looking forward to your channels future and don't worry about not uploading frequently, this type of genuine and transparent content is worth waiting for.. Cheers and see you in the next one.

Duuuude. Life always finds a way to get in the way of KZbin. The KZbin grind is tooouuugh, but if we keep putting in the work the results will show. Even if we're only making pennies now.... lol I think we spend so much time editing, because we care soooo much about our videos. Keep going man!

Totally agree on the Shorts and the viral Instagram Reel. That said, having more subscribers/followers does give you numbers to "sell" should you ever choose to do ad integrations for ball shavers or gambling apps 😆 More importantly, congrats on the new home! Excited to see the renovations.

Hahaha, sign me up! But for real, I feel like I need to get consistent before approaching partners/sponsors but again, maybe over thinking it. I know I can't guarantee them numbers but I can at least guarantee output. I do see that as the next viable way to expand "the business." I want to experiment with doing Shorts that reflect the channel content (instead of aiming for vitality) but I'm super guilty of getting the videos up and then immediately moving to the next thing instead of maximizing content. As always, super appreciative of your input and advice - and you being here! Happy New Year to you and the fam! 🎊

I really like your thoughts and take on your KZbin channel. I agree 100% with what you're stating regarding the DC2 build series - it's how I found you, it garners a community around an ongoing build series, and it returns viewers to see progress. The event videos bring in a new audience, but only a small fraction continue watching build series videos. I like how you break down your monetization numbers. It's definitely a very slow game to make any sort of money. I look at my subscriber numbers sometimes and it seems like it's super low, but it's definitely not a good thing to compare myself to the huge automotive channels. I had been averaging about $400/month until my latest complete 30-minute rebuild video, and it is starting to slow down, but I have grossed $15k from that video alone. That's with 3.3 million views. It really brings in a new audience when it's something that appeals to a wide audience. I really don't want to do another rebuild series or total restoration video, but that seems to be the way to get the payback/views/subscribers for me in particular.
@BRICKHOUSESPL10 ай бұрын
Holy moly! The ad sense money gets crazy when the views get that high! I always estimated $3,500/million but $5,000 is even better. Haha That really illustrates why the daily/every couple day vloggers keep after it. If they can land 100,000 views per episode and lut out 10+ video a month, the numbers get crazy. Not to mention their huge library of content adding to that as well. I 100% agree with you. The builds take the audience on a journey and it's pretty much the path most car channels take. It's a lot of work to crank out builds and there's no guaranteed return unless you could sell the car for fair market value and then [fingers crossed] get a nice payout with the full build video. I've looked at the Mad4Motors channel and all he uploads is full builds that do millions of views each. If you don't have to do the individual episodes in between, then that probably really speeds the project timeframe. I was just surprised to see a channel dedicated to just the full recaps. Don't sell yourself short though. I've always been super impressed with your production quality, quality of work, and amount of content you put out on IG as well. You've got a content machine going! Excited to see what's next!
