I’m 73 and I’m going to look at one today . I’ve been in the saddle since 1966 on Harley’s since 1976 . This bike is also for experience riders .Just look at it , it’s a beautiful bike . At 73 I don’t want a big heavy bike

@@1DougBeard you can retrofit a tach for few bucks if you really feel like you need it. Just google for how to do it on the Meteor. I thought I would do that but after two months of daily use, I really don't. You can feel it doesn't like to be reved, you get excellent feedback from the exhaust (the sound is just so much fun all the time that I would listen to it and not the tacho anyhow) and the gears are kinda short so you adapt very quickly to which gear you want at any given situation. Second nature.

Sir you just hit the nail on the head. The term beginner bike is so patronizing and used way too much in the US. Simplicity can be so refreshing and something others should try. Many of us have been there and got the Tshirt too yet would still choose a bike like this to ride. Thankyou

@@xb5883 mmm, I am from India and not a fan of RE. But RE improved their bike quality a million times compared to a decade ago. I don't say they are beating Japanese in Quality aspects but still improvement is highly visible. So one don't regret purchasing RE these days as it is happening with quality problems of Chinese bikes(with few exceptions) in usa market.

No, I can’t agree with this. The new 350 reborn is a well built bike at a competitive price. The point is that no other manufacturer is bringing out this style of bike at this price point in the North American/European market.

I have this bike in the blue, it's great. My last 6 bikes have been between 750 and 1200, this thing puts out around 20bhp. It shouldn't be anywhere near as much fun as it is. Not fast just huge amounts of fun. Covered more miles in the last three months on this than anything else. It's a blast. Easy and cheap to mod too.

My first bike was a 1975 Honda 175 street bike. I was 16 and I found the joy of the open road. My Dad had a 1977 Honda 750 four K that he bought as his first bike at 45 yo. Two weeks later he went on his cross country trek for almost two months. He kept it for 3 years driving it to work all the time and then sold it and never rode again. I on the other hand had the bug for life. I'm almost 60 and last rode about 5 years ago . Now I see this RE Hunter 350 and I'm hooked, I can't wait to start riding again on my new bike that will take me back to the beginning when I found the joy of just riding a motorcycle to get away from it all . Good job ROYAL ENFIELD!!

I got my first Yamaha in 1972 and had many bikes since. I've looked at these RE Hunters and planning to get one later this month. My current Honda CB750F is a tad heavy for me to handle at age 68. This looks like the perfect way to trade down. Looking forward to my next decade of riding - on a Hunter 350.

The 350 power plant is rapidly becoming a legend. Simple easy to look after and full of character. Any of the 3 Enfield styles are great because of their simple souls. When a rider/reviewer with the credibility of Evans enthusiastically says he "had a blast" riding this 350 all day, that means something to me. I intend to be a "returning rider" this coming spring, and what I'm looking for is simple fun from a simple bike for around-town and rural county roads, and this might be it. Basically the same price as a Grom. How can you beat that? I love the looks of it. I have a Z400 and it’s great for riding the backroads. I’m hoping Kawasaki comes out with the RS version of the 400. It’s a really fun engine. If my bike looked as good as this I’d be happy. Then again I’m 60 so I like simplicity and not all the sharp angles on my bike. I love the look of the Scram too but the engines simply need more power to be a contender for my Z400. 40 hp would be great!

It's a weird logic, but I get it. I feel the same way about my scooter compared to my Harley. I guess because it's more nimble and easier to handle, it boosts your confidence, and it feels like you're less likely to crash. While with the heavier bike, it just feels more dangerous. But yeah, it doesn't make sense when you think about it. You're still as exposed as any bike.

For comparison, the CB300R is a smaller capacity bike, looks retro, has 10 more horsepower, has storage at the back for a phone and wallet, and you don't need to check the valves till 24 thousand k's. It's lighter has an IMU abs and it's around the same price. These Royal enfields really are over priced for what they are.

This Bike is really suited for a basic level rider. Its power delivery is rough and vibration is high. The Bike had trouble going up hill in high gear, it actually lost speed and I jad to downshift to maintain speed. Maintenance is very expensive. 500$ for simple valve lash and oil change @ Triumph of Seattle. You can save a hundred dollars going to NW Royal Enfield in Lacey Washington. This bike foes not qualify as sn all around crusier. It strains itself at highwsy speeds and has very little reserve to get yourself out of a jam if extra speed is needed.😢😢😢
