I really think simucubes active pedals are a game changer however at that price I don’t think a lot of people will be able to justify them. If we ever see a “budget” as in less than $1200 for three pedals, I think it would change the sim world

Ascher absolutely nailed it with McLaren rims. They felt far best from all brands out there hand down. Now the question is do I need the screen version or not? 🙂
@networkguy31522 жыл бұрын
Trak Racer is really nailing it. One huge thing they need to look at is what Monstertec is doing with being able to easily swap from racing to flight and then space sim ect. TR offer so many accessories for their 80/20 rigs that it might be possible but they need a video demonstrating how to do so. I think I speak for most people when I say that if I invest 1k in a rig, 1-2 k in triples and or VR, 1-2k in wheel and pedals, 1-2k in flight, then 2k on a PC I want to be able to play everything from my huge investment.

The next level racing fgt elite is a much better version of that cockpit, its also aluminum profile, stiffer and has way more adjustability and accessories
@StevePhoenix2 жыл бұрын
@@Sideways_Singh The TRX hasn't been tested yet, so you have no evidence the F-GT Elite is stiffer. From what I've seen so far, the TRX also seems more easily adjustable.
@Sideways_Singh2 жыл бұрын
@@StevePhoenix i do have proof because its aluminum profile and this isnt, I'm guessing ur new to sim racing and dont know what that means, its physically impossible for this to be stiffer because the fgt elite has no flex to begin with. The trx is more easily adjustable but that always means ur sacrificing rigidity, but well see maybe its stiff enough, either way I wouldnt get it, because its not nearly as adjustable and doesnt have nearly as much accessories.
@abbagang38442 жыл бұрын
@@Sideways_Singh but the realism of it being developed with alpine is something i would like to see happen with other companies
@StevePhoenix2 жыл бұрын
@@Sideways_Singh You assume way too much, buddy. I'm by no means new to sim racing or aluminium profiles. It's not physically impossible to match or exceed the strength of aluminium profile and there are steel tube rigs that have matched the rigidity of the stiffest aluminium cockpits (all reviews I've seen of the RSeat P2 suggest it's as stiff as a Sim-Lab P-1X, without any discernible flex). Plus, aluminium prices have been skyrocketing in the last 5 years and there's a good chance aluminium profile rigs will become far too expensive in the near future. That being said, you might be right about the lack of accessories, although Next Level Racing's accessories list is extremely short, too.

Even just a "hey we are waiting on these bolts" or a "we are getting them to the warehouses now but having trouble finding trucking" or something would be fantastic. I ask on their website chat when it's coming and just get an automated response saying December. No word on when in December... guess it's late December at this point. Can't even get a real person to respond. I'm still excited about the rig, but this delay with no updates feels like a bad Kickstarter project.

honestly what bugs me lots is the mentality of the companys. all the new good stuff is at a pricerange not feasable for most of simracers. i would like to see more brands jump into entry to midrange pricing and deliver some innovative and !Costeffective! Solutions. Carbon fibre on a home pedal is such a waste of money if you consider they could spent the development expenses on a propper midrange pedal with good materials, a feasably production strategy and some adjustability and loadcell. same for all the highend tech. i cant understand why there are no cheap pedals with oil systems. you cant tell me i have to spent 1k for a hydraulic cylinder with a pressure sensor wich is a few dollars on some propper casted pedals. if you wanted you surely could produce such a thing for under 500 with good profit. but for some reason the "more advanced" tech always comes with premium (and costineffective) materials and manufacturing processes.... i dont care how my pedals look. i care how they work and what they cost.
@hugovasseur13922 жыл бұрын
If you specifically talk about Venym, they also make the same pedal in aluminum that compete with the 1000+€ sets but for the same price as the HE Sprint So yeah the Carbon ones are expensives but that's their top of the line offering and all the medias will only cover those in order to generate more clicks

@@thereverent117 I agree, using carbon fibre to me is so stupid, we have no need for weight reduction, using aluminium or steel is all we need. Whay bugs me is the price of steering wheels, even cheap plastic thrustmaster or fanatec wheels are so expensive for what they are. 50 bucks of material at the most sold for 2/300+, and it's not like r&d is that relevant. I'll have a look at the najam's, I'd rather spend money on someone else than fanatec and their 300% mark up stamped sheet metal pedals, thanks.

They say there is never a dumb idea. So maybe my following statement is wrong: When you do sim racing, you see some of the most innovative and some of the most dumb ideas. I vomit every time I see a million billion zillion wheel rims with prices that are inflated a million billion zillion times. I am a car enthusiast yet I've never been passionate about quick release and wheel rims a million billion zillion times more than I have always been passionate about all other details in cars and driving. I know there are people who have 20 different ridiculously expensive carbon fiber Al Cantara A-RGB wheels with a fancy diamond beneath the screen in the middle of the rim that they use on their modded Logitech G25!!! WTF???? While, I feel sad when I know that the companies which started to make wind sims, g force seats, tension seat belts, haptic feedback, suspension actuators, traction loss and full motion sims are closing/ going out of business and going bankrupt due to lack of interest and low sales. There is no dump idea, and even if the 1k€ pedals felt ridiculous, useless and expensive to me. The dump idea is that idea that is popular today among sim racers, which is being fixated to only one idea, which is collecting as much rims as they can while they didn't prioritize any other kind of feedback using the same money spent.

Sorry but 7000 euro for a 3 pedal set from Simucube is way too much. 700 to 1200 should be the highest premium mark. This is only for professional use and the insanely rich at this point.
@damiendegrasse2 жыл бұрын
7000 is obviously madness, but I bet most will be looking at a single pedal. I have no professional use case nor am I insanely rich but If I let go of some of the collection of stuff in my house and find another $1000 on top, I could just about afford one. I vehemently disagree that the " highest premium mark" should be 700 to 1200, the range of products should be as wide as the market will support, like in automotive.
@LogiForce862 жыл бұрын
@@damiendegrasse I don't know what good one pedal is going to do though. I have clubsport pedals and I can hardly cut them up. So it is either all or nothing, otherwise you just have a brake and you won't move the car at all... or a throttle and you will fly into oblivion. 😅
@ags9112 жыл бұрын
Don’t Fanatec have something similar with the V3 pedals? I know they are just motors but still.
@LogiForce862 жыл бұрын
@@ags911 Not comparable. The Clubsport pedals always had a rumble motor on the brake and the V3 also put one on the throttle. The Simucube pedals provide motorized resistance and throw adjustment on the fly including force feedback movement rather than just a bit of rumble. It makes them into a completely different league, but the price is a bit excessive for most sim races. Just like how Leo Bodnar his direct drive was 10 years ago.
