For Pete of Trackfans TV. At 3:48:00 Travis is about to break the record on Yellow that had been one of the records that Al C had set on all lanes much earlier in the race. As Rick commented on at 3:52:00 .

For Pete of Trackfans TV the heat results after all the heats are at 7:25:00 From this I now see Travis That Slotcar Guy finished at number 42 with 138.12 laps. I think he qualified at 31. So some initial targets to aim for.

A fascination for miniaturization and competitiveness is undoubtably a human trait. it's just a shame that in the sixties, when the nation was in the grips of a nation wide slot car craze, adults, with better motor skills and financing , pushed out all the kids, thereby braking a chain of kids continuing to be interested in shared play, and forever after making this only a niche' pastime. I don't blame the track operators for following the money, but in hindsight, perhaps some provision to protect the play of children should have been made, since they popularized commercial slot car tracks in the first place, and used to crowd the locations.
