A very pleasant discovery just made in stumbling upon your channel. Very interesting history you have with a wide variety of bikes. I can relate in a couple of areas: I’m an older person, 84 years in fact, and have had over 50 motorcycles in my lifetime. I’m currently riding a 1959 AJS 650 twin and a 2013 Royal Enfield Classic 500. I plan on following you as an example of the fact that we “mature” riders can still enjoy riding. Best wishes, Charlie from Texas

Seasonal greetings to you. As a 70-year old young rider with arthritis in my spinel thing, I have a confession. A Christmas gift from my daughter that I had to test. So Boxing Day evening just after 10pm off I went on my RE 650 Super Meteor with my new battery powered heated under vest on. I came home around 11:25pm still smiling and still snug as a bug in a rug! This vest battery still has plenty of power in it too. Oh how I wish I had got something like this sooner. Now if the rain would just go away! Happy New Year to you and hope you clock up many more miles to come 👍...

As a fairly new viewer, I really enjoyed the summary. I passed you by a few times as I am not so interested in the new BSA. (Had 2 A10s and a C15 back in the day). When I did drop in, I really liked the history commentary and now never miss one. Must say, your video work is excellent for so shorter time. I like when you stop for a bite, to see a bit of the food or cake, not just 2 seconds between stopping and starting the bike. Keep up the great work and thank you for keeping another oldie entertained.

I've recently bought a summer jacket and instead of getting my usual black colour I've gone for a multi coloured very visible colour similar to yours. Hi Christopher, thanks for watching, glad you're enjoying my rambles. Hope you like the Rex, you've certainly picked the best colour 😂😂😂. Will be interested to hear how you get on with it, as you can probably tell from my videos, I love mine. The panniers are from Cotswold Hipster. I got fed up waiting for the BSA ones and these are about half the price and excellent quality. Waxed cotton and leather construction. The frames I fabricated myself from stainless tube as, again, the BSA one's weren't available. The supply situation may have changed now and the BSA one's may be easier to get. All the best for the coming year.

I’ve just been on there website and I shall be sporting a pair shortly and most likely I’ll do the same as you knock up a pair of brackets myself with some stainless I’m sure I’ve got kicking about in the shed . But I agree it’s is the best colour lol thanks again for the history and videos and I will let you know how I find the bike . Hi Nicholas, thanks for watching. Glad you're enjoying my rambles. The Harley flatheads are brilliant bikes in both civilian and military trim but a bit quirky till you get used to them. The foot clutch and hand gear change can take a bit of getting used to but I've had three of these now. There's about five videos on my channel all about Dave and Libby and what there like to ride and look after. If you have a watch of those it will give you a better idea. Price wise, it varies considerably depending on how original it is and how much its been messed about with. Originl WLs (the civilian version) and WLAs or WLCs in military trim fetch a good price and I've see them advertised for as much as the mid 20k (UK pound) bracket. Realistically, you're probably looking at between 15k and 20k but cheaper ones do crop up. Have a look on the classifieds on Milweb.net or some of the military or flathead groups on Facebook as they do come up for sale there. Cheers.
