I believe Volvo is the last premium brand that offers cloth seats in the North American market. They look great and are super comfortable.

You hit on a bunch of the details that make me love my '22 V60 T6 R-Design. The understated design looks great from every angle, the interior (especially the dash) is a gimmick-free work of art, it's appealingly VERY rare, and gets thumbs up from #longroof nerds all the time. I test drove the Cross Country you're driving here, but found it woefully underpowered. The twincharged T6 easily fixes that.

The grill design is very stylish, and only now I understand the association created by this design - medieval brigandine armor )

Others have brought it up in the comments however as someone who has driven both: Which would you say is the better buy, this V60 CC or a top trim Outback?

Always enjoy your insights. I so wish somebody could interview someone to explain this gloss black. The only people who like it are the ones that do not live with it. Please tell me why? 🤢

I think that they do not sell a lot because it is too similar to the XC60 and everyone’s eyes are on SUV, especially when trading in or reselling the car. For example, the A4 Allroad and Q5 target different audiences. That distinction is not there on the Volvos. Also, Volvo add the perfect recipe with the XC70 but they replaced it with the XC90, too big and too expensive. If we disregard the transition to electric cars, Volvo should bring back a real successor to the XC70. We still see so many of them on the road.

Too bad that the cost of ownership is insane once your full service warranty is over. Reliability remain problematic also. Good option if you are leasing 4 years and leave it at the dealership once your contract is over. 😊

We know multiple families that have had this current generation of Volvo's and love them. Reliability really isn't as bad as many say, we have had two XC90's (Both T6 AWD) and 100k miles between them, not a single issue outside of scheduled maintenance

I’m so glad they make a wagon still but the front is disappointing. Why do they make it look like a crossover? It’s sad

Lots of shiny silver on that dash. You know what most people enjoy? Smudge-revealing trim, and shiny mirrors to reflect all the sun from all the angles into my eyes as I'm driving. 😑
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
Never bothered me over the 300 miles i drove it. Some cars have it in worse places, the shiny black on the steering wheel buttons is dumb for sure but those are pretty small complaints. The infotainment is 30 times more head scratching

thats the worst camera angle ever when showing the interior, just show the pov so we get the idea whats it like to sit inside the car...

Good thing I include a million different insert shots of the interior from every angle including a pov gopro shot during the drive.

alsome car but why would anyone choose semi offroad luxury volvo when you can get 2-3 years old luxury Lexus for same or less money and will get you on ruff snowy and muddy places in style. Doesnt make any sence.
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
The only real reason is that a comparable lexus is much more boring as a whole. It’s an emotional appeal as I said in the conclusion.

I've driven many of both Lexus' and Volvo's offerings. Lexus, aside from reliability, really hasn't got a whole ton going for it, they appeal to a certain group of people and have a strong following but don't really come close to what Volvo is offering, the two companies are both great in their own way. Most people coming to these luxury all-terrain wagons are the people that bought Outbacks but wanted something a bit more luxurious and refined.

Hi, dedicated Volvo fan here! (Have owned three Volvos; currently daily two P1 models.) I'll tell you exactly why these things don't sell--and you said it yourself. The Volvo diehards would *diee* for an authentic wagon. Make it boxy. Make it dorky. Stop making it look like a spaceship. Stop trying to be the poor man's beemer. Volvo has such a cool, quirky portfolio of truly unique vehicles in its history. NOTHING about this grey space egg looks or feels unique. It doesn't *feel* like a Volvo. We don't want a crystal seggstoy shifter. We don't want a crummy iPad in the console. We want a sensible, safe, mechanical machine with buttons and knobs and a touch of Swedish design. If I had 55K, I wouldn't buy this.
