All good but nothing on crime, People travelling on a budget, Good Doctors or Lawyers, shopping plazas, Floods when it rains, Wildlife animals, Gangs/Mobs, Cruise area etc. I think we need a part 2 not enough detail coverage.

This is the most honest video from a realtor I've seen! Most folks in the profession just sing praise and never mention the bad sides, gotta appreciate your honesty Stefania! For me personally the flatness (as in all of Florida) would need to be within Top 5 cons - you can deal with a lot of other downsides, but you can't create mountains! No hikes, no views, no really diverse nature. On the other hand we have the best beaches in the continental US, so natures balances out that way.

Thank you very much for your support Paul and you are right, Miami and Florida in general does not have much biodiversity due to its lack of mountains, but as you mentioned we have some of the best beaches in the whole country.

Thank you for this video Stefania. I will be moving to Florida in this year and I really like the look of Miami as well. I don't mind the language barrier because I want to learn Spanish and maybe I can help them out if they want to improve their English language. Also its another way to network and to make new friends. I have subbed to the channel and please keep up the great work. Happy 2024. All the best from Ireland.

We have family in Jamaica and often visited. Is the humidity like that? Because it mainly swelled when storms were brewing, or if they were around.
@stefaniamogollon
@stefaniamogollon Жыл бұрын
Jamaica has a tropical climate with high humidity, similar to Miami. Both locations experience warm temperatures and high humidity levels, especially during the summer months. However, Jamaica, being closer to the equator, tend to have a more consistently high humidity throughout the year compared to Miami.

What you think of LA ma?
@stefaniamogollon

LA is more on the glamour of Hollywood, a health-conscious lifestyle, and endless opportunities in the entertainment industry. Miami, on the other hand, is a melting pot of cultures, with a thriving nightlife, beautiful beaches, and a tropical vibe. Do you prefer the glamour of LA or the laid-back vibes of Miami?

@@stefaniamogollon good question. While I value the dramatic landscapes of southern cali and the fit lifestyle there is something about Miami that attracts me may be latin vibe (I am latino) and have lived in very multicultural cities before so LA feels hella segregated if I am honest with you. During my time in Toronto I was so happy with the melting pot so yeah Miami is getting me hella tempted

Pros: no state income taxes, warm temperatures all year round, enough population to either easily blend in and be anonymous or stand out, your choice. Beaches and food are just okay, really. Most food is imported from far away, and real estate development has been whittling away agricultural land, it will soon be like Broward County. Miami usually avoids hurricane land fall, so I don't see that as a particular problem. BUT property insurance rates are determined by Statewide risks and coastal locations. So any time a hurricane makes landfall anywhere in the State, it affects insurance rates also in Miami. Yes, car insurance is also expensive due to high population density and 'different' drivers. Humidity does not bother me; I much prefer warm humidity to cold humidity which is the worst. I am bilingual English-Spanish, so that's not a problem. As an aside, I wish schools would teach Latin American Spanish instead of Spain Spanish as a practical matter; this insistence on Spain Spanish is a turnoff for many students. Outside of the Brickell skyline, Miami, like most US cities, ranges from butt-ugly to nothing special at best. Cons: Miami has become extremely expensive, now on par with New York and San Francisco by some measures; however, Miami's typical residential unit is still newer and bigger compared to older cities in the US and Europe. Traffic is bad if you have to travel by car during rush hour. But Miami still has a lot of empty space if one knows how to choose spots and times. Unfortunately most people have no choice. Luckily I bought in Miami shortly after the 2008 mortgage crisis debacle. I wouldn't buy in now. If I were to leave Miami, it would be because of high property insurance rates, and I would go somewhere inland in central Florida where the insurance knock-on effect of hurricanes hitting any developed coastal area is less. In addition, buy prices for condos and single family homes inland (e.g. Orlando area) are lower; so, overall in central Florida lower buy prices and lower ongoing maintenance expenses But most people love the beach and the sea breezes. We still have no State income taxes and warm temperatures year round. Anything less is a deal-breaker. Love Miami, love Florida!
