My first time going in a proper inverting thrill coaster. I had been on Indiana jones et el temple de peril . But I went to Towers and rode nemesis as my 1st multi inverting rollercoaster . I then when to Thorpe park and went on the swarm which was my no.2 behind nemesis reborn & I am going to go to more parks in 2025. And you gave me confidence to ride them & next year I can ride hyperia as it was shut & I hope you enjoy 2025 especially with the great news !🎉

My highlight this year was, oddly, getting stuck on th13teen. It was just amazing being on the lift hill and talking to the staff. Me and my mum even ended up with a private front row ride on rita!!! Amazing year for me!

Great to see independant parks open prototype rides like Voltron in Europapark and Danse Macabre in the Efteling. My favorite highlights for 2024 is I celebrated my 22nd birthday at Universal Studios Hollywood with my mom, my uncle, and myself. We had a great time and we have been on all the rides. I had a great time. I went to Las Vegas with my mom, my grandma, my grandpa, and myself for four days. We walked around the Las Vegas Strip and we drank margaritas. My mom and I have always supported the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. My mom and I watched the Dodgers World Series Champions 2024 and we won and we celebrated.

So my highlight probably was returning to AT after 5 years. It has always been something I've wanted to do and I always said one day, when I had passed my driving test, I would be able to drive to AT and experience this park in a new light. And honestly as much as it got a lot of criticism this year it was truly worth it.

I mean for me and theme parks in 2024 this year was the year when I first became an enthusiast and before in 2023 I was terrified of going on any big rides then in 2024 I was just like I don't care anymore and I went on nemesis reborn and then smiler in Easter and from then on I was hooked and I went on hyperia on my 17th birthday in June and after that I properly started researching all of the facts about coasters and different types looking at hopefully going abroad to go to different theme parks I went to Orlando to go to universal and Disney world for the first time and I found your channel as well which is extremely useful in looking at the latest news and tips on how to actually organise trips to other countries t go to different theme parks as well so thanks so much Shawn and Charlotte for basically helping me grow in knowledge about theme parks and how they work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Very good year, we had a TPW inspired UK road trip to Chessington, Legoland, across to the Isle of Wight, then Paultons Park and Alton Towers on way home. Also visited Oakwood and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Then made our first theme park trip abroad to the Netherlands to visit Toverland and Efteling. Trying hard to get my 8yrs old son as passionate about coasters as I am, and he has just made over 50 coaster credits, going from being afraid of Accelerator at Drayton Manor 18months ago to riding Icon at Pleasure Beach, Troy and Fenix at Toverland, and Baron 1898 at Efteling. Thanks for the work you do Shawn/Charlotte, you literally are inspiring us to get out there and keep on riding. All the best.

Nemesis: Reborn and Hyperia are definitely the highlights of the year ultimately. We lost Kingda Ka without warning, other rides announced their closure, Towers lost three flat rides, Drayton opened a new coaster at the cost of their best flat rides, Shockwave lost it’s accolade of being the UK’s only stand up coaster, and Rip Ride Rocket is due to be removed. Hopefully 2025 will be a year of positive change and expansion (Toxicator is already exciting enough).

Although I don’t really use KZbin anymore, I feel like I should comment here because I used to watch this channel a lot and it really helped me get into theme parks. This year has been super exciting for me, I finally got to fulfill a 5 year long dream of becoming a ride operator, which has been challenging and incredibly eye opening, but also super fun! I have nothing but respect for all ride operators now. I also got the opportunity to visit one of my biggest bucket list parks, Phantasialand, which was so good! Fly is one of my favorite rides of all time. Sadly I haven’t yet had the chance to ride Hyperia, but I have Nemesis Reborn and I think it’s incredible. Admittedly I haven’t been keeping massively up to date with theme park news this year, but Kingda Ka was gutting to hear about. Hopefully 2025 will be a positive year for theme parks!

Definitely been an interesting year. From some exciting openings like Nemesis Reborn, Hyperia and Gold Rush. To sad closures like many rides at the Pleasure Beach, The Blade at Towers and of course, Kingda Ka. Not been my favourite year, so I certainly hope it improves for the 2025 season! Things like Epic Universe, the new ride at Towers and of course, Falcon’s Flight really do intrigue me. It’s going to be a very exciting new year!

Into my 10th year of watching the channel now and still haven't met either of you. I have met Lee though and spoken to a couple of the old crew. You were the first people I came across on my first Florida visit back in 2015. And prior to that I started watching your tips as if I remember rightly Shawn 2014 was your first year in FLorida? (am I right) Looking back to this year I have to say I was sorely disappointed by Alton Towers organisation and operations. I didn't go to Thorpe or Blackpool. I am planning my first trip to Europa park for 2025 though. I am hoping that this year the UK parks will focus on staffing levels and bear in mind people's experiences are important especially if they have travelled far and spent a lot. I'm happy that Drayton have finally gone in the right direction of being a family park which I always said it should. Let's hope there are no more ride shut downs and at least a couple of good announcements, particularly regarding Universal.

Formula Rossa's closure was incredibly frustrating for me. Planned a Dubai trip in February for my Wife and I. Luckily I hadn't bought the Park tickets yet, as was able to pivot into a trip to Motiongate Dubai. But to go to that part of the world and not get on the fastest coaster in the world was heartbreaking. We're in two minds about going to Qiddiya for Falcon's Flight, but who knows.

Biggest disappointment for me this year was the tunnel in the curse at Alton manor being broken. One plus was being able to ride Hex for the first time was pretty cool.

I think even from a manufacturer pov. Mack has won this year 100%. The stryker coaster is fantastic. the wacky elements they tried on hyperia worked out great. They have stardust racers and the other stryker soon too. Intamin with gold rush has alot of potential to become something insane. Even vekoma in a way. The biggest flop this year has to be b&m. Their fall off is crazy. Even from nemesis reborn to like rapterra or even penguin trek looks terrible. Atleast nemesis was still smooth. Heard phoenix rising, iron menace and penguin trek were genuinely rough. Very strange

Big question Sean I’m wondering if coasters are being built to quickly now like new houses getting built and already having so many problems but still could be from lockdown not as many staff checking all features and safety issues ride checks I do realise they need open quite quick so they can make money back from tourists but does seem strange that’s a lot of new rides are having major problems

Don’t worry, rides are very safe. It’s just unfortunate that many rides had issues last year. Here’s to 2025!
