I really want to like these but I can’t see wanting a 4cyl. For about the same price I’d rather the B58 in the M340 or M440 and have an optional awd. I’m sure the pricing of aftermarket stuff is more expensive as that’s just the name of the game, but also it’s definitely going to get more power out of it also

I’m new to all this stuff. Could someone explain to me why these aftermarket parts are better than the stock ones? Even though the stock ones are brand new, and a lot of this just looks like pipes and non-mechanical metal pieces. What is the real functional difference? Not hating at all, genuinely curious.

Combustion engines are essentially air pumps. The more efficiently you can get the air in (and out), the more power you can make. The intercooler also aids with a larger volume and surface area allowing the turbo charger to force more air through cooler pipes. While factory parts work fine, the aftermarket parts might be smoother inside and/or larger in volume allowing for less turbulent flow of more air. :D

that would contradict what a "Type S" would be. Acura said from the beginning that the new Integra Type S was suppose to bring back the "fun" times when Acura had the gsr/type R, rowing through gears and having the drivers more engaged with their car.
