Nah... I want it properly broken in, I'm too particular about my cars and their maintenance and break in period to buy something that you know has been driven hard and put away wet by some young kid. This is a collector's car if it's taken care of properly you'll get double what you paid for it I'm 30 years. Look at the old Integras with low mileage going for 85k$ and up when they cost 13k brand new when they came out lol.

Why is this car so much lighter than the BMW M2? What tradeoffs were made to achieve the lighter weight?

I’m not really sure there are any trade offs necessarily, both of the cars are very different. I would imagine that most of the added weight for the M2 comes from its engine which is much larger and more powerful that the engine found in the Type S. The M2’s interior is also almost all leather and has a much larger infotainment screen. Overall, they are very different and really are for different buyers.

I have to say this is one of the worst reviews on this car for a few reasons... Saying the seats are not good, or not as good as the type R is foolish. the seats are amazing for what the car is designed for... street driving! If you want the uncomfortable bright red race buckets go for the type R. this is why you have the choice. Type R is a track oriented car. This is a much better daily car, there isn't any amount of body roll even in comfort mode worth mentioning. so that was surprising to hear, there's twice as much body roll in a civic si in it's firmest setting lol. It also does not share the same transmission as the civic si.. I'm not sure where you got your information from guys! Even the gearing ratios are different from the type R slightly. Same transmission as the R, yes. But a bit different gear ratios. That being said i appreciate your review i just wish you did some homework a little before hand so that you were not speaking incorrect information. I love the type S and the type R. But at the end of the day the type S is a nicer, better all around vehicle that can easily be taken to the track and is more then well equipped then almost every other car in its segment for track driving other then the civic! But in terms of comfort, features, audio, and even performance the type S takes it over the type R. Any other reviews that put these head to head also come to that conclusion. Throttle house did a good vs between the two. Racing them the type S takes it every time. And against every other car that is in that segment! The Hyundai Elantra N, the golf R, Corolla GT ect.

70k here in Canada with taxes. That's with zero mark up as it's illegal to mark up a car over MSRP here. But yeah. 58k before adding a single thing to it or taxes. The one i ordered with no mark up but with all the accessories like carbon fiber spoiler, illuminated A symbol from the bottom of the doors, illuminated door sills, and the tiger eye Pearl paint. Came to 71k$ that's before you so much as put weather tech floor mats in, get it ceramic coated, with PPF be around 76k$ when i have it to where i want it. Again with zero markup from dealership.
