i drive a base 2011 MDX with SH-AWD. best car ever, yeah gas guzzler for sure but plenty of power with a 300HP engine. New MDX has less HP and unless you opt for the S-type MDX which is too much money for me, i love my MDX-110k miles later
@GuitarsAndSynths Жыл бұрын
drove all the high end luxury suv brands and love the balance of tech comfort and sport of the base Acura MDX! The Porsche and BMW cost 30k more and double the insurance and registration cost too!

Bought a dealers loaner 2024 MDX 6 cyl 10 speed transmission, not a cvt in sight lol. It’s fast and quite nice. The settings between snow, sport, normal and comfort actually make changes you can feel. 5k miles and I got it for 10k less than new. It’s really nice.

Doesn’t the Pilot have a more usable 3rd row? If you’re looking for that level of practicality, that might be the deciding factor.
@brokeboy87 Жыл бұрын
Technically yes. The Chevy Traverse might be one of the more spacious 3rd rows without going to a body-on-frame SUV/ minivan.
@brett233 Жыл бұрын
Yes more leg room and head room overall in the Pilot. Plus it has 3 seats in the back.

Third row “SUV” is a vanity. Just get the minivan.
@brett233 Жыл бұрын
@@nateisright depends what you want. Most minivans don’t have great ground clearance, AWD, or 8 seats. Also some people don’t like the look of a minivan. There’s a reason 3 row SUVs are popular.

Once you add a few desirable options/accessories to the base MDX it comes out to about $58k. Which makes it $6k more than a Pilot Elite - which is even better equipped, larger, and has an easier to use infotainment than this. The “brand prestige” of Acura is not enough to make me want one over a fully loaded pilot.
@jpthsd Жыл бұрын
which is why Acura MDX is no longer popular SUV anymore ....Acura Engineering department might have been laying off key engineers - Acura is all slacking behind others!! Comparing Acura MDX $58 with 2024 Hyundai Calligraphy $52K ,,you see why more people are now going with Korean autos ...:)!

Yeah, you're right. Maybe it's better if the children just walk. Since you know.. no matter where you put them in the car they could get hit in a direct collision!
