Also my rs is in tango red (not my 1st choice but got a really good deal for a showroom car - 18k euros discount)). Usually people ask if you put a body kit on a regular a6 :D

I received a call from a local dealer a couple of weeks ago. They had one of these in stock and invited me to come check it out. I presently drive a '21 Porsche Turbo S Sport Turismo, so I'm definitely a high-performance station wagon person. So we went out for a test drive. I've previously owned an RS7 so I was pretty familiar with many aspects of the car. The salesman was disappointed that I wasn't blown away by the acceleration, but it actually didn't feel quite as quick as my present car. Still, it was plenty fast. It had the optional steel spring suspension, so it was neither as comfortable nor as adjustable as my present car. With the engine where it is the car will still understeer when pushed hard, just like my old RS7, which also had the sport suspension. Still, my present car will be going off warranty in another 18 months and I'm keeping my eyes open for a replacement, so this was a very interesting prospect. Until. I started talking numbers with the sales manager, who informed me that they were asking $50K over sticker, which brought the car over $200K. They offered me a "discount" of $15K (I've bought cars there previously) but that left us at $35K over MSRP, so just a little shy of $200K. That's the price range of my present car, and in my eyes it just didn't measure up. I like the stealthiness of my present car, whereas the RS6 is much more "look at me." The 22" wheels of the RS6 seem like overkill, and could I ever find snow tires for it? So my take on this car is that it is indeed a very fast wagon. At MSRP or close, I think it's a good deal. But for almost $200K, not so much. Looks like I'll be keeping the Panamera, and perhaps looking into an extended warranty when the time comes. Or, if M-B brings back the AMG E63S wagon...

I got an offer at MSRP for a 2024 RS6-P AE... just find a better stealership to work with. Bought my 2023 RS6 at MSRP, brand new. I laughed at the couple stealerships in Cali I talked to first, who had $75k markups. Yeah right. Maybe for the RS6 GT, but not for a regular model. I even said no to the RS6-GT because we only get the ugly white trim here in the US. Not worth it, unless you never drive it.

Glad there are people like you out there (I love wagons, but since I'm single and alone I'm currently looking for a porsche 991.2 4S with ceramic brakes and no sunroof to start my lightweght project; then I'll also upgrade it with a lift kit from elephant racing to get decent ground clearance, so I can drive all year long everywhere, from Florida to Alberta) The R8 is cool but, like you said, too much "look at me".

Am I the only one who thinks this car is just a bit too excessive for everyday use? I mean, it’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but: - A 625hp V8 is never going to be exploited in daily use. Heck, you can barely use 300hp in most situations. The fuel economy must be horrid as well - and yes, that still matters, even in a performance car. - Those wheels and that front grille. Way too huge, I agree with Doug, they just shout ‘LOOK AT ME!!!’ - The price - $125k USD is just too much for a car that isn’t a sports car. Would you really beat this thing up in daily usage when you are terrified of the smallest scratch or blemish on the paint? If I had to get an Audi x6, I would go for a used S6. The V6 is more than powerful enough for everyday use, and it’s not rare or special enough to worry about getting damaged.

Harsh ride? Hmmm!!! I just bought this car in large measure due to the combination of comfortable ride, amazing and immediate acceleration and superb handling! I think air suspension is the way to go! This thing FLIES, all in amazing comfort! Is very civilized and the exhaust sound is just right! You can travel with your family and have so much fun driving! With air suspension even dynamic mode is more comfortable than my Artura in comfort mode! Love this beast! Kudos to Audi!

One of the best family estate cars My wife been driving hers since 2022 Audi did fantastic job with its RS6 platform It’s nice to see Audi still keeps RS6 clean and not too flashy like some other German performance cars

The wheels are 3” too big at minimum. You could make the ride so much more compliant if it wasn’t riding on rubber bands

The RS6 GT speaks to me. I've been quite bored of the Audi formula for the past almost 10 years. Audi was at its most drool worthy when phrases like "Twin-turbo V10 out of a Lamborghini" were a part of the conversation. I find the current lineup exactly as you'd expect them to be. They need their wild card design.

I will say & something I think that you and other car reviewers miss is that most of the road harshness in these cars is caused by the insanely thin sidewall. If this car had 19s (Or hell even 20s) this car does ride so much better AND is able to put the power down better. Its one of those tradeoffs that most people don't even realize they are making unless they switch to aftermarket wheels.

that white colour scheme on the RS6 GT is a clear nod to the IMSA GT quattro race cars of the 80s, and also some of the rally livery used in the earlyl 80s. Shocked you didn't know that...

This is a cool car. But then I know that the Volvo V60 Recharge exists, and it kinda makes me want that car more. Hear me out, they are both sport wagons, and the RS6 is certainly quicker, has more HP, and might be subjectively more attractive. But the Volvo is almost half the price, still gets 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, gets 41 miles on battery, and I suspect feels much better on the road than the harsh RS6. I understand the people will want the big V8 and Audi people will Audi, but for a high end family car with an emphasis on performance, the Polestar Engineered Volvo V60 seems like such better value than this.
