I’m a little scared for Da’Vine’s Sweep. I can’t remember when BAFTA gave a black woman supporting actress the bafta (except for Hudson and Mo’Nique, but they were big showy unmistakably fantastic sweepers, Da’Vine is great but she’s not showy enough). They could totally give it to Emily Blunt- she’s British. Or they could give it to CLAIRE FOY. Remember they didn’t even nominate Regina King for Beale Street (which now that I think of it- seems pretty similar to THE HOLDOVERS re: contender for screenplay and supporting actress winner)

Re: Saltburn in screenplay. Think about the dark, dry humor of Rosamund Pike's character. The Brits love that kind of stuff. She had some of the best one-liners and it was pretty clever writing. Of course Saltburn has a shot in screenplay.

I really have no interest in BAFTA, I think they made themselves irrelevant after working in a juror based system to prioritise token diversity representation over merit.
