Kate, I want to compliment you on your riding skills. The slight roll-off pause between the two cars on the double-overtake, and the use of the wrong side of the road when a car presented itself on the poor view side junction clearly distinguished you from merely a good rider, to a very experienced rider. Wishing you many more years of keeping it sunny side up. 👍

@@UsernameKate actually...I just discovered when specing up a bike using the Motorrad bike configurator that there are TWO DIFFERENT versions of the BMW adaptive ride height for the new 1300 GSA....both magically go up and down but one is permanently lowered by 20mm and is called "adaptive ride height comfort". Do you know if you had this permanently lowered "comfort" version fitted to the bike that you rode?

Yes this is comfort, the permanent one 👍 with a low comfort seat I should add.

I reckon if you were to part exchange it with a dealer, it wouldn't affect it at all (or at least it didn't when I was selling them) - because you get a lot of eyes on the bikes from people who want that dealer warranty or they just generally get decent foot fall. Privately might well be a different issue.

Another great video Kate. I’m glad I went for the Tramuntana as my first ever GS. The 1300GS certainly had its haters but I loved the looks straight away. I am a strong believer that a variety of bike styles is a good thing and that as you say, looks are subjective, but thank goodness I didn’t wait for the GSA. My dealer invited me to come and look at it as “it looks so much better in the flesh”. Unfortunately I still think it looks awful. What does shine through with both is the awesome performance and handling. You are a real inspiration to the motorcycle community showing confidence and skill on a bike. Always love your videos. Keep up the good work.

Once again a fantabulous video (and thx to Mike 4 the excellent filming of the intro). The music for the intro was a wonderful and enhancing choice (should it interest anybody, it's 'Blinded by Love' - Zorro), and was probably written with this video in mind!! This release, pin points your progression, and shows how very professional you are becoming. As far as the bike goes...., well it's a Beemer, and I think we now know that they will never get into my top ten! However, it does look tempting in Green.... no stop it mate, for christ's sake, it's a BMW! This time around, it was more the video production and editing than the content that kept me stuck to my screen, but I did find,, despite having said that, there were sill a few titbits that I found interesting. Superb riding Kate and no doubt the bike is a technical marvel. However, the design and aesthetics suggest it has been magnetised and wheeled through a scrap yard. Yeah, the unveiling in Garmisch left me wondering what drugs the designers were doing. The more I’ve seen it being ridden has definitely improved my opinion of its looks. Triple black looks the best to me. Going with that, the comfort adaptive height, low seat and ASA. 5’9” and 32” inseam. Coming off the 35” seat height of a KLR 650 the GS should not be a problem as long as I stay off knarly single track. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.

Another great review Kate. I take your point about it being a more stable bike to the GS1300, but the looks don’t float my boat, and I wouldn’t have one. As much as I prefer the 1250 in looks, I’m afraid I still didn’t get one of those either. I think after the 1200 they made the boxer to sanitised and smooth. Well in North America the trucks are huge and travel way faster than say in Europe. With this in mind they can blow you all over the road.
