Well, there really aren‘t to many that do offer more bang really, especially not „bang for buck“, the few offerings that may have nominally higher HP outputs from the known Japanse & Italian brands are not exactly cheap/er than a Buell Hammerhead.

Can't wait for the 2025 BUELL SUPER CRUISER
@randreason5 ай бұрын
I’ve had my Hammerhead since late ‘22 and have loved every minute with it, and I do feel pride riding down the road with a U.S. flag on the side. I also look forward to ordering one of the SuperCruisers when they become available. One crucial piece of advice I have for prospective buyers is to make sure you have a reliable service center nearby before committing to buying. I live in a major U.S. city and took for granted the fact that the factory would have someone well qualified to handle warranty and service work in my area. This turned out not to be the case for my city. I missed out on riding for all but a few weeks of the 2023 riding season because the local service center had trouble performing a factory recall and couldn’t get it fixed right for me. Eventually Buell hauled it back to the factory in Michigan to fix it on their own dime and shipped it back to me in pristine working order. Now, though, if I need any major work done, I’ll have to risk trusting the local service center here, drive it to another state to drop it off at the service center there, or just do it myself. That’s a risk we take by supporting a great-but-small brand. Also, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading the seat on your new Buell. The red stitching and logo on mine faded to where it looks almost pink. I emailed the factory to ask if it would be covered by warranty and didn’t even receive a response. I’m planning on replacing it with the regular stock seat on my own dime.
@TheAristeros5 ай бұрын
im curious, did you have the failure? what symptoms did you have? Or did you have it preventatively taken in? I have a 2024 HH and had the same symptoms as the recall on a non recalled model year. I contacted my dealer, they contacted Buell, and buell had a truck in my driveway 2 days later in NY to pick it up and bring it back to their factory in Grand Rapids. 6 days later, it was dropped back off in my driveway with a brand new engine and gearbox. (on their dime) FWIW to anybody reading this...... their customer service has been nothing less than stellar!!! They couldn't have done anything better to handle my issues. Big big respect to their team working behind the scenes. Jason Anderson, the director of operations and quality reached out directly to me and kept me in the loop every step of the way even sending me photos of the bike being worked on back at the factory.
@randreason5 ай бұрын
@@TheAristeros I didn’t have any symptoms at all, it ran fine when I dropped it off. When I got it back, the clutch had been reassembled wrong and the local shop couldn’t figure out what the problem was. It ended up sitting in the shop there for months while the factory worked with them to get it figured out. Finally I just went and picked it up. I went direct with the factory, and eventually the truck showed up to grab it just in time for winter. I’m a long ways from the factory, so it took a while to get it there and back. It was in pristine condition when I got it back though. Again, I’m very grateful for their help and love the bike to death, but am not so sure about the local service center.

Absolutely love the fact that buell lets you be in full control of their machine. There are too many bikes now where you actually can't turn off all the nannies because the manufacturer doesn't trust you, with bikes like the r1 the ecm literally has to be FLASHED to remove the aids. I realize the computers are faster but there is something beautiful about trying to tame an absolute monster.

Bravo - very nice indeed, that shows that the S1 was not the only timeless design by Erik Buell.

i will say to go visit the bigger bike rallies for anyone wanting to look at a buell being they've been going to them as a vendor and have their bikes out on display to sit on and see. I just got back from Sturgis and they were setup at BHHD and had their "touring bagger" type bike there on display and honestly was shocked when I went to sit on it to see how it felt on my bad ankles and knees and will say shocked by how light it was. So I would suggest biketober fest as a possible rally that they might be at or even myrtle beach that's coming up as well. Honestly though for a true US made bike minus a few parts is well worth paying the price to me.

I have to see it in person, etc. I watched hours and hours of videos, went to multiple dealerships trying to narrow down what bike I wanted this go around for not being on one in 4-5 years. And my first sport bike at that. The example for me is take the gsx8r and the Daytona, while they are “comparable”. the riding position is vastly different to me. No way I could have made my choice strictly online. It would have gotten sent back when I got it lol

Owner of a 24 SX here. (and 14 RX and a Uly) First real ride a guy pulled next to me at a stoplight and asked if I was on a real new Buell - just a random guy on a random road. I do own them partly because of the US made aspect. That chain whine on decel is addicting. I do intend to convert both 1190's to a 44 tooth rear sprocket. They are... cantankerous at low speed with stock gearing.

The fact that they don't is proof that the companies are crooked and Criminal. Even if they wanted to charge more as an option it would be an option chosen by every single person buying every single motor vehicle there is. There is no excuse for not having full Diagnostics built right into every vehicle. Except for the reasoning that they want to rob you of your wallet.
