Highs:
+The Lyriq’s design is straight up a spaceship, truly stands out anywhere you go as does the interior; Cadillac is drawing on their art deco era roots here.
+Range was never an issue and ample power was a pleasant surprise, though if you were expecting a sporty vehicle, that’s just not the Lyriq.
+Regen capabilty was fantastic, as was the trick regen paddle.
Lows:
-The one main issue I experienced with the Lyriq was buggy software & frequent apple car play disconnect.
-Interior build quality could’ve been a bit better for $80k, various rattles could be heard at highway speeds.
-22inch wheels are gorgeous though aren’t the best option for ultimate luxury; a bit loud and firm over rough roads.
-The seats need more thigh support and adjustments both front and rear.
Solid 7.8/10: A great start for Cadillac’s electrification only to get better. (I’m very excited for the Vistiq and I can’ explain why)

Thank you for the video, and for clarification, they did not change the grille design. The Sport and Luxury Trims have different designs, the Luxury retained the original design.

That mounted padel to control regen is a game changer. I just wished it was column mounted so it is even more awesome on curvy roads downhill. I came to your video looking for obnoxious motor noise while driving fast (not talking about pedestrian warning sound till 22mph). I don't hear any noise in your video at 50. Is this RWD or AWD?

@Allcarnews Thanks. I took a video of the sound today, and right after that, the sound stopped, which proves that the sound(noise) was/is abnormal.

It’s a nice car, but the misalignment between the dash and the door panel drives me crazy on these things. Almost all of them are off quite a bit. If they can’t even get that right, it makes me wonder about the rest of the car.

You’re definitely reaching. Especially with all the quality control issues that Tesla has had since launch and the fact this Lyriq came off a brand new and bespoke assembly line specifically for EVs it’s still superior in quality to Tesla and is right there with Porsche Taycan and EQS in build quality.

@Mike6HB You must not like comfortable range on road trips. Very low center of gravity gives the feel of confidence on the road. I have had mine for 6 months and never gave gvwr any thought.

I think this high gvwr on the hot streets of Florida won't be optimale for a high tire mileage. Does the Cadillac have a sentry mode like Tesla?

@@Mike6HB Yes Lyriq does have video recording hardware and a removable SD card slot. Optimal the same for high tire mileage. Plus multitask by activating the turn signal indicator and adjust any vent for desired air flow at the same time.
