It began with a bang - as Ferrari's Charles Leclerc clouted the barriers early in FP1 - but it ended in beauty, as Leclerc, in his repaired chassis, vaulted to the top of the times in FP2. And so there we have it: on the back of their win at Monza, Ferrari are indeed in the hunt on the Baku street circuit. Red Bull-Honda also looked strong, with 2023 Baku winner, Sergio Perez, finishing the day P2, ahead of Sir Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes and the McLaren-Mercedes of Oscar Piastri.
