The man 👍 always a goood and super consistent look at all car stuff but probably a inch or too off what the great unwashed in Australia truly care about.

Great review, thanks. Tremor is permanently 4 wheel drive which is what all passenger vehicles should be. That's the difference.

Gotta love these reviews... hopefully when the BYD Ute gets a run the battery doesn't have one of those thermal events....

If I owned this truck, I would leave it just as it is. The stock version is already stunning.

In Malaysia, we classify it as a pickup truck, but it's still considered a truck, not a car. Am I correct?

Tremor is what the driver in front of a Ford Rager feels with an almost 50m stopping distance whilst the Rager is tapping their rear bumper at 100kph

Sounds like the Tremor driver might need a bit more time to react! But hey, at least the Ranger's ready for some off-road fun once they stop! 😄

Bret, I have 4A in the Everest and the only time I have used it is when I have towed, yes it makes a huge difference in terms of stability and fuel consumption is only just worse off by about 1L per 100km over all. I think all auto Amarok (regardless of engines) are also 4A. Overall RWD for normal duties is fine for Everest and Ranger.

265 70 R 17 on the tremor as the wheels are not load rated. You cannot put LT rated.

Wot do u mean the wheels are not load rated? Every wheel made is made to a load spec for that vehicle, regardless of brand.

47 metres to stop from 100kph is a disgrace and makes these third world vehicles a danger to everybody else on the road.

No it’s not flash but come on…the average retard on the road today I swear has a 20 meter reaction distance regardless of speed

@@xk2fg It’s not good. But all down to the tyres. No vehicle with these chunky tyres is going to pull up well. PS: Scary to think of all the old utes/4WDs out there with old brakes AND tyres like these.

Yep had the previous Sport model and the stopping power was not even average, still Ford hasn’t upgraded much other than the better AWD / 4WD now.

It will be interesting to see how the new Shark goes with heavy-duty work. It doesn't have low-range, which means it might be a bit tricky at very slow-speed off-roading; too much instant torque maybe? Towing rating is apparently 2500kg.
@angusnz7910
@angusnz7910 2 ай бұрын
@@Paradoxical124I could be wrong (was once on 1984…but I could be mistaken) but I think the byd uses the petrol purely to charge the battery, but in rare stars align scenario it can contribute to forward propulsion. That’s the impression I got from Chinese reviews anyway. If that is the case the petrol would never feel the load in the back…only the electric actually do that

Ford have them torque limited in 1st, 2nd ^ 3rd gear to around 350Nm. Which sucks but I guess they are worried that the torque converter are pretty much cooked with such short gearing. Also it appears that Ford have put a stabilizer spindle on the tail shaft as a running update,

@@351tgv so basically it's not the engine but it's the useless extra gears? Shame.
