I have an AT4X. It just makes more sense for what I wanted. I was sick of the mom mobile/grocery getter SUVs and I live in the woods on a dirt road, the interior looks and feels so good.

High speed--Ford bragged about a stock raptor did a 500 mile baja stage and averaged 113 mph--it comes out and its governed to 107 which is pathetic literally a corolla or honda civic will catch this and pass it at around 3/4 of a mile--shame on ford

RR you get 2 more cylinders, another turbo, lane centering, and a power rear window AT4X you get a HUD, ventilated seats, sunroof, tailgate box, and a 110 AC in the backseat. Available underbody cameras. Can't go wrong either way but I would prefer the Horsepower myself

I like the Canyon more than the Raptor, but that grill is so busy in comparison to the Raptor's. Canyon's interior has a retro look to it the way the colors are laid out, the screen isn't at risk of making you look too far downward and too far from the road.

GM looks like they're finally making decent looking interiors. I don't mind the Canyon interior. As least it looks like it was designed within the last decade unlike the larger GM trucks which are stuck in the 90's. The Rangers interior is very nice.

The Ranger has a real front bumper. The GM product has a bunch of plastic bumper covers. I prefer real bumpers that can be changed for aftermarket options without having to cut up a bunch of painted plastic.

Test drove my Ranger Raptor last week but still haven't bought it cause I was curious to see if its worth the extra 10k over the ZR2. I test drove a ZR2 yesterday and let me tell you that it doesn't compare to the Ranger Raptor. The steering wheel was too light, had cheap creaky plastic everywhere, and that dreadful 4 cylinder turbo engine was such a pain to listen to. You also had to really mash on the pedal to get the truck going. The seats were so uncomfortable on the ZR2 and the leather was thinner than the Raptors. Transmission shifting on the gen 2 8-speed ZR2 was clunky compared to the super smooth 10 speed in the Raptor. The Bangen and Olfsen sound system on the Raptor was 100% more crisp and the bass really bumped compared to the ZR2's Bose system. TBH ZR2 felt like a base model Colorado but lifted with big wheels. I was not impressed so I'll be purchasing the Ranger Raptor that was built for me. I did own a 2018 Colorado LT V6 lifted on 33s and that truck was extremely reliable and Id purchase a V6 pre 2023 ZR2 over the new 4 cylinder turbo platform. The only good thing that I have to say about the new gen ZR2s is that the infotainment system was easier to use and resolution quality was better than the Raptors. By the way whoever built my Raptor didn't know how to align the graphics package decals. There was bubbles everywhere!

I like the color and exterior style of the Canyon over Ranger. I prefer the seating and more sporty elements of Ranger, but prefer the screen layout of the Canyon. The exhaust note of the Ranger sounds SO much better than the Canyon, lol. Both trucks are equally as capable, other than horsepower.. but when going off-road, HP doesn't mean squat, especially when they have the same amount of torque. If I had to choose, I'd probably take the Canyon AT4X. I would still prefer a Colorado Bison over either one of these trucks.

It's crazy that the subaru crosstrek wilderness has 9.3 inches of ground clearance stock with 225/60R17. 9.7 inches if you put 225/65r17.11.7 if you install a 2 inch lift.

@@kalijo1 I had a 2020 ranger and I had a couple of friends that had the ranger and while when the 10 speed works it's almost perfect, but the 1080r and 1060r aren't that reliable. My ranger and two friends that had rangers had problems with the transmission and Ford in my case took over 4 months to fix the problem. I decided to lemon law the thing and so did one of my friends.

If I remember correctly from a previous video I’ve seen, the 8 speed was better at handling the abuse that the engine was putting out. Curious to drive both of these in person specifically the ranger raptor. My work truck 10 speed f150 is absolutely terrible, sometimes I wonder if I’m going to see it in my rear view mirror or throw me into the steering wheel in parking lots.

The Canyon looks higher off the ground and more off road worthy. They both have the same ground clearance but the GMC looks higher, it may be the running boards on the Ranger if it were mine I may have to remove those. They both have good engines but the Ranger clearly has the edge with its 405 horsepower and v6 engine. Overall though I think the GMC Canyon is a better looking and better capable off roader. They both have fancy shocks for desert high speed running but I think the GMC is the better Crawler which is how most people use their trucks while off roading. Both good trucks but besides the engine I think GM has Ford beat on this one

The Raptor is quite a bit wider, that's why it looks lower. ALSO, both have front and rear lockers, so will crawl/climb over the same terrain. Raptor looks and goes the biz, 4 cylinders for a top end truck sucks !!

The Colorado ZR2 and Canyon AT4X are pretty much the same truck accept the GMC has some more fancy bits and nicer interior but the drive train, suspension and 4X4 system are the same. The new Ford Ranger Raptor is a great capable truck but both the GM trucks look better and are better woods crawlers

Can’t stand the Raptor screen, no vents in the back, can’t stand the bedliner steps, my foot hits or gets pinched on vent going from gas to break or vice versa, love the at4x interior I’m not mudding with the windows down and sunroof open, more options standard in the canyon, lack of power sliding rear window is a big fail, went with the AT4X and love it. It depends on what you want to do with the truck, going to Baja - Raptor all the way, Baja + rock crawling + general off roading and everything in between the Canyon wins

I don't clsssify the canyon or the other off roaders as baja trucks because they are not as powerful as the ranger raptor. The raptor on the other hand has gone beyond limits and is the only mid sizer that has gotten a baja edition. I do think the colorado zr2 bison is the closest one to compete but still not a baja truck

Raptor and canyon: worst placing for the 4x4 controls, I eat in my car and my center console is disgusting!… I can see the buttons getting gunked up…
