Totally buying this Prologue. New modern GM infotainment with CarPlay, Bose audio, actual leather seats unlike rubber seats in Cadillac Lyriq, Front wheel drive, great long range, decent price with Federal tax credit combined with clean Honda design. I can't wait to test drive it. Edit: Drove it today and LOVED IT. It drives better than CRV or Pilot, I also drove those to compare. Prologue infotainment is the biggest win - it is way better than any infotainment in other new Hondas.

I disagree. Just drove new Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid, there is no racing DNA left in it. It rides heavy and rough, like an old Toyota. Older CRVs used to drive sporty, but not new ones. Old Honda Element used to drive sportier than new CRV. I also had a new Passport rental. It literally drives like a heavy pickup, nothing sporty or racing about it. Considering you are driving a GM luxury platform made for family crossovers, I bet Prologue drives perfectly stable, comfortable, sturdy and quiet.

I think the cr v probably drives a little more sporty then the rav4, rouge, or any of its competitors. With that said it’s obviously not gonna blow you away with how it handles, it’s meant to be an economical suv. I think you went into it with the mindset that you could throw it around like a Miata, which is why you were disappointed.
@00_UU
@00_UU 8 ай бұрын
@@wyattgrummert9183 no, I used to have a new Honda Element, it drove very sporty like a larger Civic. Literally sporty box on wheels. I also had other new Hondas and Acuras, including larger ones like 2013 RDX, it also drove like a slightly lifted sports car. But new 2024 CRV drives worse than all of them. New CRV is numb, steering is vague without any feedback, acceleration is very slow, infotainment screen is laughable - interface looks like a Nokia phone from 2001. New 2024 CRV has a cheaper interior than 2003 Honda Element which was literally made out of all plastic inside. Just test drive new 2023 Buick Envision back to back with new 2024 Honda CRV. Surprise surprise. Envision drives more refined, more sporty, with amazing crisp modern infotainment while also priced much cheaper than CRV equally equipped. Roll back 10 years and I would never expect to say a Buick could drive better than a Honda.

@@00_UUYou may be right. We switched from a 22’ pilot to the Prologue and it actually rode nicer and was very quiet inside which is surprising for a GM. It actually feels sporty when the handling comes in. One thing I have to complain about is the quality since the parts are from GM, feels like the plastic was made by fisher price and many quality issues when we first got it. Still not sure for the CRV’s ride quality so will do an update on that

Just did my test drive. Fit and finish is very GM. You don't feel like your in a Honda sitting inside. The outside is looking very Honda so at least there's that. Inside the car drives like a large SUV as in you really feel like your driving above everyone else. The biggest 2 problems I noticed was the infotainment is very sluggish and very unrefined. It just doesn't look or run good at all. The second is the absolute horrible wind noise coming from the front doors. Seriously wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a service bulletin. With a bit of a design collab between the two we get... Whatever this is. I will say the drive is excellent and the materials are pretty nice, but for the price and everything else I can see people choosing a hybrid CR-V over the Prologue because of the passenger and cargo space, which this car is absolutely lacking, not to mention pricing, the Touring is going for about 55k, while a touring CR-V would be in the mid 40s max before ttl/adds

VW I D4 top trim awd price??? Try Edmunds Compare

Prologue Touring AWD is selling for 45k after tax credit at my local dealer. What technology in the US is better than Ultium at this price range? 288hp AWD actually feels very solid, I would even go for 212hp FWD. It is more than enough for a daily commuter. Prologue also drives better than any other Honda SUV, I tested all of them today

WHYYY Honda didn’t put any of their own switchgear in this is BEYOND me. If they just needed the Ultium platform (batteries and drivetrain), why not customize everything else to be “Honda”? On top of that.. WHY WOULD THEY USE THIS INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM INSTEAD OF THE BIGGER, BETTER, MORE PROFESSIONAL ONE THEY HAVE IN THE ACCORD?!?!?!? This car is literally SIXTY. THOUSAND. DOLLARS!!!!! FOR WHAT?!?!?!

The Honda switchgear would probably make it even more expensive, easier to use GM's part bin when it's assembled at a GM factory.

I drove new Pilot, new CRV and new HRV today and the Prologue drives way better than all of them and Prologue infotainment is also way better than any other Honda right now. Only Accord Touring has similar Google infotainment, but Prologue screen is still far better and easier to use. GM switches are fine. Why change them if they work great? Everything about Prologue is great, I could not find anything negative today.

Perhaps because it shares so much with the Chevy, this car is simply bigger than it needs to be. Too big for some garages and parking stalls. It will help the non-Americans to continue laughing at us and our giant truck and car obsession. Come on Honda, let's get the shrinking started.

That's only on the Acura version, the ZDX.
@cbayman869
@cbayman869 8 ай бұрын
The ZDX is based on the Caddy Lyriq while the Prologue is based on the Chevy Blazer EV. Supercruise is available on the Blazer but not offered on the Prologue which seems strange. Probably marketing to push buyers to the ZDX. But Honda won’t sell enough of these vehicles to pay for their marketing campaign. Won’t last more than 1 or 2 model years.

Why’d they have to make the wheels so dumb looking?
@Aki_Lesbrinco
@Aki_Lesbrinco 8 ай бұрын
My question is why the wheels need to be so huge. Why couldn't they go with 18s or 19's. 21" wheels are ridiculous, especially on EVs. I imagine you would get a decent bump in range just by putting smaller wheels on this thing.

at this price and such poor efficiency numbers! it looks good but just is not worth it. no telsa plug makes it worse. I just saw a test of EV's in europe that included a model 3, 3.9miles per kW. So 2.2 is just not gonna cut it. 200miles of effective range for $60K+ that's seriously nuts.
