SUVs are one of the best ways to munch down large distances in utmost comfort. When Jeep India came forward and gave us the 2024 Compass S, we set out on a journey to find the best fish thali we could! We headed towards Diveaghar, roughly 4 hours away from Pune and tested the new 2024 Compass S along the way to see how it faired as a roadtrip machine! Want to know how it did? How is the clutch behaviour on long drive? Is it hard ?

@@ravivirmani6922 it's fine brother it's just that if u took test drive of jeep compass in their showroom in their showroom the clutch would be hard cuz it is a test drive model but with my personal experience the clutch it fine not heavy with proper maintenance it just works perfectly good

My 3 months of ownership so far: great mileage (20 kmpl under 100 kmph) & drive comfort. Though I’ve started getting squeaky sound around the gear panel. If I push it down with a thumb it goes away but it shouldn’t happen. Makes you nervous for what might come next. Still a very solid vehicle. Btw I would never go for body colour panels, just because they’ll attract lot of scruffs & also looks tacky in my opinion. Also, A manual for more spirited drive.

The plastic cladding is way more practical for a SUV. Drive on bad roads and dont worry about marks and scratches since plastic is easier to replace if it is broken

Had a compass many years back, went to the airport to pick my friend up who was returning from US. The large suitcase he had fit perfectly into the boot, and we had no space for anything else. But it was a fun car to drive, the most hatchback feeling SUV Ive driven. But its way too small on the inside, i remember my head being too close to headline on the right, im 5'6. Had me thinking, in a crash i would definitely get knocked out. Traded it for Innova, hate to admit it, but Innova is still the best car for road trips.

It's a very good car (test drove recently) but Unfortunately it doesn't come in Petrol (Delhi NCR resident here) and longevity of diesel cars here is questionable. Also with only 300-350 unit selling per month, Jeep's India presence is also doubtful seeing the American automobile manufacturer's past record in India (Chevy, Ford)! So Plz recommend petrol alternatives under ₹35L, not necessarily 4x4?

The XUV700 or a used Q3 Pertrol Auto would be your best bets.

@@TTTrainTTT I don't want to buy used. Xuv 700 is the only option left (though it's unnecessarily big for me) I Wish Karoq or Octavia was there for sale but they were discontinued in India... Tiguan is due for an update in India. Although MY VW dealer is giving me good discounts (₹37L on road) but I don't want to buy an outdated car for that price!

@@parthoomphy7214 Then if I were you, I would wait till the end of 2024 for more accomplished newer models like the Kodiaq, Octavia, Tiguan to be launched. Another good choice would be Tuscon. Yes the petrol isn't as fun as the other Turbos but it a brilliant all round car

I am also cat on the wall to decide on JC or XUV700L D AWD. I know XUV petrol mileage isn't comparable , but how about handling & steering feedback at high speed compared against JC? Of course AWD option would be close to JC otherwise pls advise...

@@sundar-ur3oz see in city my petrol auto gives me around 9-11 kmpl, on highway it’s over 12+ handling I feel is better on xuv as both compass and xuv have FSD suspension but the FSD suspension on xuv700 is better and superior than compass for me xuv 700 ax5 petrol auto was a steal i wish awd but couldn’t wait as longggggg waiting period at my time

Jeep to XUV is a downgrade Jeep is a premium car u pay what you get for XUV is for people who want to feel rich by taking a feature loaded car same thing with tata supporters And ur saying it's a smallest car in the segment which your clearly blabbering nonsense compass is bigger than creta, seltos and more. And second row doesn't suck it has great space. And your argument is baseless you are comparing a 5 seater with a 7 seater and saying the 7 seater has more space and has better engine performance that is already a given with a bigger car And the suspension is definitely not better in XUV your more likely to feel it because of the size of the car Compass is a car enthusiast car So please if your not a car enthusiast stick to ur Harriers and Thars. If you really did own a compass u must have owned the cheapest model not a 4x4S because no man with a premium car downgrades like that 😂 maybe you had a 20 lakh compass and upgraded to a 30 lakh xuv700 good for u 👍

@@clapzy538 dude doesn’t know that harrier safari and compass use the same fucking engine just the transmission is different which is obviously better in compass as you get 9 speed but bruh power is wayyy better in xuv 700 and just buying a car in the name of a company doesn’t makes a damn difference jeep is American that doesn’t make a difference in your buying choice also xuv being a 7 seater dosnet justify compass being better compass is way expensive than what if offers also i owned model S not 4x4 it was good but xuv700 is better for the buck
