After seeing the new front grill which may also be on the 2024 Gladiator I bought a 2023 Mojave. Supposedly the change was made to increase air flow to the radiator to allow for a higher tow rating so it does make sense functionally. But the iconic vertically slatted grill which largely contributes to the Jeep classic look virtually disappears. As far as the interior all the new tech and larger screen is nice but each update seems to be moving the Jeep further away from it’s off-road roots as a utility vehicle. At least they’re keeping the straight axles and manual 4x4 transfer case. Great review as always. Edited for spelling.
@703Speed Жыл бұрын
Agreed.. I love the manual transfer case - it just feels classic. I think it would be sweet if they put a V8 in the gladiator as well. I'm just not sure I see that happening. Do you think Jeep will ever put an IFS in the Wrangler/Gladiator?
@dantimber Жыл бұрын
@@703Speed I don't think Jeep will switch to IFS for the Wrangler and Gladiator. The front straight axle (and the manual transfer case) differentiate them from the competition. Both are stronger and less complicated for off-road use. Jeep offered a 304 V8 back in the 70's when they were owned by AMC. First generation Bronco's also had a 289 and 302 V8 option. A V8 option would be great in a Gladiator but it would likely be the same 5.7L hemi V8 with cylinder activation, more complication and more weight. I'm happy with the simplicity and power of the 3.6L V6 in my Gladiator but I'm not using it as a dedicated tow vehicle.

it's absolutely fantastic. the only 2 things are really heartbreaking: those two things are: 1. no 360-cam. and 2. horrible second row seats. especially the back of the seat of the second row absolutely horrible. I mean specifically the recline position of the back of the seat just 6-inches more recline would make those seats absolutely normal for just 15cm would make it totally different story.
@703Speed Жыл бұрын
It definitely needs a 360 cam system.. Honestly (this could be placebo) but I feel like the JL definitely has more of a recline in the second row than the JK.. The JK was horrendous comfort wise in the 2nd row
@johnreno8909 Жыл бұрын
@@703Speed probebly it is placebo. back itself recline is horrible and lower cushin is too short and is is very bad.

generally any wrangler class suv (bronco as well) most optimal and most practical and most well-balanced maximum size of tires are 35-inches. more than that is not really wright thing to do. (except special purpose car cases). i now people have 37-inches, and 40-inches and even 42-inches ,. but having those type of tires without some special purpose is not wright thing to do at all imo. 35-inches are totally enough for practical most of the situations.
@703Speed Жыл бұрын
I agree, but some people do the bigger tires either for the look or the functionality for off roading. But for an on street/occasional off road use vehicle, 35's (imo) are the way to go
@johnreno8909 Жыл бұрын
@@703Speed yeah, i mean nothing wrong with bigger tires , i mean bigger than 35-inches but i just think it is too much load on car in general and on the system. and fuel consumption is getting a lot as well.

☝️🤣"EASY" ,, wait till late 2024 or early 2025. WHY? right now the 2023's are just rusting on the dealership lots. W.S.J. articles on how every vehicle is WAY over priced and we will also experience an economic downturn in 2024. That means new 2023's, 2024's and early 2025 JEEPS all sitting rusting on the lots.. best time to buy is early 2025
