2024 KTM Duke 990 / I Was Struggling

ive done 18,000 miles on my 790 scalpel , I test rode the 990 the other day and it was like being on my 790 but on steriods , your feeling and understanding was perfect . thankyou for this video , ps I ride also the 1st gen superduke 1290 , and also the rc8 , and also the little 690 duke R .. SO I COMPLETLY UNDERSTAND

I took this bike out yesterday courtesy of my local KTM dealer in Braintree in Essex, Its comfortable even for a big chap like me and at 6'3 had leg room. Really enjoyed the ride, wonderful sounding engine and actual useable power that is such amazing fn, but not so much that its scary. Slow speed ambling around no problem and of course its maximum fun on the TWISTIES!. The bike i tested has the full tech pack on it so had a quick shifter up and down and it worked really well. I've bene watching your channel now for about 3 years, I think. On Thursday about midday I'm changing from rider not to rider🤗. I'm getting a Classic 350 to get me going whilst I get back into riding and get some riding gear. Then next year I'll add a larger capacity bike. The larger bike changes everyday or after each video I watch. Thanx for the inspiration and entertainment.

Loved this diamante a great review, and I know it must be a good bike by your reaction.. You're right, it's a great bike! The quickshift hardware is included and is activated in a setup menu (it's accessible for 1500km or so before it is locked out so that the buyer can try it out and decide whether to have it enabled in a tech pack option). I know it's a bit late now, but you probably could have activated it!

It was activated, but this bike did over 2000 km unfortunately so I couldn’t try it.

Nothing beats that going home feeling. Didn’t realise Lithuanian people had such well stocked motorcycle shops if you get one model in one colour most of the time you’re lucky. 😊 Cadwell park bike all day long. ❤

Does this one have the cam issues as well? The earlier ones have been known to eat cams, and ktm doesnt cover them under warrantee.

Good day, I'm in a dilemma, can you give me some advice? I'm from Russia) and here they sell KTM 990 with a warranty cheaper than MT09 non-SP, considering Yamaha has no warranty, KTM looks very attractive to me, but I haven't ridden a KTM before and their reliability scares me, what would you recommend buying, maybe you could suggest a completely different motorcycle?

sorry to say that but testing this bike in straight roads 50-90km/h is absolutelly useless.

They do have quick shifters. Maybe yours wasn't unlocked

@@zajaxaty It was unlocked for a first thousand miles and then you have to pay extra to unlock it, same as some other functions. Clever strategy by KTM.

Looks like Lithuania is not the right country for this bike. Roads are too long and straight and the power is too much to use to is full potential. But I don't like KTM anyway. When are you going to play with a Jawa for us?
